For the record I told y’all a year ago Herbert was the best QB in the draft. I watched him a lot in college and he was operating like a NFL QB already.

He didn't operate like a NFL QB much, they didn't ask much out of him,  lot of short stuff.  Hence the reason so many people weren't sold on him.

I would say that Burrow definitely doesn't have elite arm talent for the NFL. Not IMO. He does have scrambling ability, I will say that.

Wasn't a big fan of him coming into the NFL but he was impressive early for the Bengals. I do think it was obvious he wasn't the caliber of QB that Herbert is, however. That much seems pretty obvious.

Its a little early to act like Herbert is clearly the better pro among the two of them.  Burrow was playing really well before he got hurt.

Lets give them both a few years, but both fanbases should be happy.

Also, and I wish I could find the tweet, but some of Herbert's unstable metrics were very high this year, very possible he regresses some in those.

That's why I never have understood how Jameis gets poo on so much. He is that same style of player.

I don't get it, either.  That type of QB is going to throw interceptions.  They are also going to complete some passes nobody else would try.

Jameis' big problem at the end in Tampa was he got put into an offensive scheme that invites QB's to throw interceptions.  Only Arians could put a guy whose style and history suggest he is prone to throwing interceptions, into a system that will more likely than not increase the opportunities for interceptions, and then be upset when he throws more interceptions.

They were saying Sunday during the Saints game that Payton is really high on Jameis.  He better be, because Hill is not the answer under center, other than on gadget plays.  I figured going to New Orleans would be good for Jameis.......and I was also afraid of that!

Great point about system, Arians QBs tend to throw a lot of Ints.

Would have been interesting to see Jameis in our system.  Really, would our W/L record have been any worse?  I don't think so.
