It's Falcons Week!

Finally a thread I can post on without putting up with all the whiners and complainers who say the same thing over again. It would be bad enough if it had merit but when ignorant as well, is painful.

So lets talk about the Birds. I think with our better run defense and a pretty good pass defense as well, we should be in this one and have a good chance to win. Davis being out will hurt us covering the TEs and the backs in the flats. Hopefully we don't run every play so that we are too predictable like we were against New Orleans. Their secondary isn't very good and our passing game should be effective. It is time to open things up. Jake hasn't thrown a pick in almost 50 passes and seems to have recovered some confidence. As long as we keep throwing short and medium passes with only the occasional deep one to Smitty or Barnidge, we should be able to score some points.

I'm sorry that I don't believe in this team anymore. Maybe if they would have back to back winning seasons (just once) or a QB that gets better not worse. Or a Coach that adjusts to who he is playing. But no according to all of the thinking brain trust of the huddle, both will be back next year and we will be great....next year. I can't wait to see how, but at least I have a rainbow coming out of my ass to make me feel better.

I wouldn't count on Fox being here or being gone. We are in the middle of a season that could go either way. We might end up 9-7 or 4-12 at this point. I don't pretend to know what will happen. I do take each game as it happens and hope for the best. Right now I see us actually playing the best we have all year and believe the best games are still ahead of us. I think the gameplan to run when possible and pass with high percentage passes gives us a chance to win every game we have left. I don't presume to think we will, who knows. If that makes me unrealistic and a homer, I am guilty as charged.

I just wish Fox and Davidson were better at taking the pulse of the game and running with the hot hand instead of staying to a set game plan whether it is working or not and failing to make adjustments. In other words when Jake gets hot let him throw. When he comes out cold and inaccurate, change things up rather than staying with a plan that isn't working. Other OCs develop a plan that fits our personnel and changes as their performances change as well Davidson seems to have a set plan regardless of who we have in the game or how they are doing. Very different from what he said he would do when he came here.

Id say this is it for the panthers, this is the game. If the panthers cant beat a team with a 14-0 lead, and cant put away the falcons, Id say your done. IF you cant put away the dirty birds the saints will watch that game, and next time you wont have a 14-0 easy game. You will get murdered, if you meet the Pats in the playoff, you think youll get a 14-0 lead? You need to prove now. Put them away soundly, kill the birds. Or your done

I heard a rumor that Pep plays rock-paper-scissors with Baker before the games to determine whether or not he will show up on the field. Hopefully Baker wins this week, 'cause if we can consistently pressure Matt Ryan, we win.

On a more serious note...we ran all over two top-rated run defenses for the past two weeks and there is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be able to put up 200+ rushing yards on the Falcons. The Falcons offense is not nearly as dangerous as the Saints. If we get a lead, we will probably win. Passing is overrated, anyway.

For Crissakes people it's Atlanta Falcon week.

Snap out of it.

We need to start figuring how we're going to beat those Dirty Birds.

It's the same over on our boards. I think we are still reeling from our loss to the Saints. Why is this game getting no attention? This game is huge for both teams. I want nothing more than my birds to beat the crap out of the Panties, yet the same old excitement is not there. What gives?

On another note, too bad about Davis. He'll be missed.
