Dwayne Haskins visiting the Carolina Panthers today

Kicking the tires is not a bad thing.

If we bring him in the likely we will have an open comp for the started next year which will be good for Teddy (right now he is QB1).

I never really liked Haskins but WFT is a garbage heap and there was a reason he went in the 1st round. I have no issue with more competition.

Both are good watches.

This guys channel is a decent watch. Near the end of his video he says what many people were saying about Haskins the prospect, that he needs time.

“Give him time, give him patience, give him a good head coach, he will develop and become a successful QB”

Haskins was drafted to a team with a coach on the hot seat. Haskins was drafted to be their saviour. Haskins only had one year of production coming out and needed time to develop.

Coming to Charlotte where he will be given a good head coach and most likely time to develop could turn his career around. Worth a shot.

Teddy in 2020 is Teddy ever since he was drafted. Just look at the stats. Brady actually did a good job with Teddy this past season. What sucked was giving him $60 million, not the inability to develop Teddy.

It’s 40 million.

I’ve seen less complaining about KK, M Kalil, Olsen and TD extensions to sit on the bench, Grier pick, CMC contract, Shaq contract, getting rid of BB, even paying Cam to be injured for 3 years....hell I’ve seen people defend these moves. I’m pointing out their impact/potential not whether they’re good or bad - that should be obvious.

Yet TB is literally gone mid season or at most one more season but people around here act like the Panthers signed him as the future of the franchise for 6 years, melodramatic, whiny, butthurt cam fanboys.

If we sign Haskins, we should just trade out from 8 and address the OL and CB positions. Take Tyler Shough in 2022. The only thing kid that sucks about that is we’ll be wasting CMC’s career away. He would then be at least 26 yo by the time this team will be able to have a franchise QB.

Yes, because it was the Panther plans for Cam's should to never be the same. Forcing the team to move on. We all knew Teddy wasn't going to be the savior. It's a process finding a new QB, no matter how well it can go.

I don't feel Rhule wants to wait to start winning. Evidence shows he wants to win now.  Let's use these facts to look at things with but more positive,  then every thing is, "omg we suck and our coaches and GM don't care about maximizing the talent we have an aquire!" That rhetoric is old.

    • KC has a very good defense this year. It is 5th overall. Yes, still worse than last year, but their offense is considerably worse. Their passing D may be their "weakness" but they still allow fewer than 20 ppg. BY completed several deep passes yesterday, and he was able to threaten downfield in ways he didn't seem capable of before the benching. I'm not necessarily worried about his ability to connect deep anymore. What to me was impressive was that he did all this without a run game. We used the pass to set up what little running success we had. Wild.
    • Solid and fair assessment.   I will say, one of the big things I noticed yesterday was that he wasn't shy to step up into the pocket in the face of pressure.  He's trusting the IOL.  And they took care of Chris Jones yesterday.  We had clean pockets but also good success rate vs. pressure which just hasn't been the case with Bryce.   If he has more confidence the OL gets it done and he can navigate and step up for throws, that's huge.  It's one of the biggest things that's held him back.  He was previously bailing quickly and just too easily throwing away or making dead plays.     He was finding his 2nd to 3rd reads within structure/without bailing in the pocket.  That was nice to see, as much concern I have with him.  And the overall limitations will always be there. Time to back it up this week against the Bucs.
    • Suddenly the Cowgirls look like our best chance for a win remaining. I think the Bucs are playing better than the Falcons of late.  Our lone game versus the dirty birds is in the ATL where we always struggle.  The Cardinals are marginally better than I thought they would be. We are not beating the Eagles, they are starting to roll. I'm saying two at most, next week at home versus the Bucs and the Cowgirls.
