John Fox should stay

Having only Jake and no other viable QB on the roster is not only a mistake this year!! It has been the failure of Fox/Hurney for several years. They have tried, ie bringing in Carr, but other than that they have failed miserably at having a QB of the future on this roster way before this season.

It's a mistake going back to the year Jake's elbow was blown out. Two offseasons and not one move on any QBs in the draft or in the FA periods. But they did give a Jake a nice big contract, because we all know money buys confidence.

Jake contract was to relieve that 10 million doallrs we owed him. Which was sorley needed with everything else going on.

If Fox is willing to bring in a new QB to start next year, I'm fine with him staying. Every franchise that's struggling right now would love to have John Fox as their coach. If he can let go of his loyalty to Delhomme, he can field a really competitive team. With a solid QB and a #2 receiver, this team is top ten.

I think the actual savings on this year were closer to 3 million. So save 3 million set your franchise back by about 15 million (if he were to be cut). This is the only reason I want no cap next year so we can cut his worthless a$$. I wouldn't mind getting him as our #3 at a huge discount but even then not really.

Ill have to look it up to be sure. But even three million with eveything else going with Peppers was neccesary. I mean its not like they could choose how much to not alow for the cap. They had to do the most jake and his agent would allow.

Ignore the elephant in the room at your peril folks, but the reason this team is struggling is in the qb position and only the qb position. And NOT due to lack of effort or skill on the front office and coaching staff. poo HAPPENS

With the year Favre is having wed be one of the best teams in the NFL today.

We are only a quarterback away from greatness.

So I guess QB's are supposed to sign themselves to a contract to play for the Panthers. Or has our FO and Coaching staff brought in or developed one?

Right so yea there has been no effort to improve on our QB situation.

Unless of course you consider Carr and McCown trying, in which case that 'skill' isn't so hot there is it?

....but why doesn't the FO/coaching staff have a better "gives us our best chance to win" option?
