we need to build in freeagency

just like what that crazy new york mafia italian stallion gettleman use to say but never actually did , we need to use free agency to set up the draft and i agree. we need to take the best player available but the only way to do that is adress freeagency to take our biggest holes , for example if there is a chance to trade for a starting qb not no teddy bridgewater , haskins or darnold , like an actual starter like a deshaun watson , carson wentz , a kirk cousins , a matt ryan , a matt stafford we should hop on that and not draft a qb in the first and adress the defense and the offensive line.

we got to do equations that calculate what is the quickest way we can get to the superbowl idk about you but im not dowqn to wait a couple years , we need to be active in free agency and bring in quality over quanity .

Building a team is pretty simple tbh.  You do the majority of your work for starters in the draft.  You can bring in a handful of free agents to plug holes in your starting lineup, but you can't depend on it to build your team.

On the other end of the spectrum, you can use free agency to build depth if your pro scouting is strong.  Smart free agency decisions on the back end of your roster can really be the difference between an "ok" roster and a strong roster in terms of depth.

    • That got me thinking and so I had to look. 17 fuging years now. Wow.
    • Great write up. I think we're going to try to keep both of the guys we've gotten from the Vikings on that DE/OLB rotation. I don't think they ever had the chance to get up to speed together. And I really agree with you about Clowney.  I really think this room really is going to depend on whether our long-term goal is to continue with 3-4 (I hope not) or go back to 4-3 full time. I'm hoping the safety situation and the LB situation don't end up biting us in the butt. I just don't see where we've gotten better there yet. I hope I'm wrong about this. O-line... just when things are jelling, you find out this might be the last season the group can expect to be together... that's just our history here. Again. Any thoughts on Moose's kid, Moose 3, coming as an undrafted FA WR?
    • That’s interesting to know. He’s adjusting and conditioning to what feels like the optimal situation for him. I’ll tell you, sounds like he’s been coached very well to recognize those things, have the strong run game skills and continuing to build out his moveset. He really seems like a high floor guy that I’m just surprised lasted that long. Feel really string about him and Princely. Just tough guys with good experience, size, skills, there’s no weird outlier question marks with either of them.
