Point being that if you're as talented as Jim McMahon, you can do a lot of dumb sh-t and teams will still put up with you. If you're only as good as Johnny Manziel, not so much.

It’s not just being a dumbass. It’s being a dumbass again. No learning curve. I’ve read a few things about him including poor work ethic. Teammates don’t like he doesn’t put in work. A lot of what I am reading reminds me a lot of Manziel.

Thats not to say he won’t mature and turn around...but it’s rare and it’d be stupid to ignore the red flags despite how small they may be. They’re not unprecedented, which is a fallacy of being young - thinking you’re different. Everyone knows what they mean and are smart to take note.

Bring him in for a look I don’t care. Panthers just can’t fug this up.

If the player has a brain in their head it wouldn't be an issue for me. For a guy known for being an idiot, already getting caught in the middle of a pandemic for doing that activity and on a job interview to try to salvage his career? That was my point, not a morality stance on strip clubs.

He is 23 years old. Haha. He is a kid. As I’ve said in other threads, when I was his age I was doing dumb poo too and loose with my money. The group I hung with also motivated my decision.

 

I look back and think it’s dumb, and wouldn’t do it now. But I was young and dumb. It’s a symptom not a behavior.

We have 53 roster spots and you're promoting 'doing dumb poo' quality taking up space. Cool. Also add doing toxic poo too, which got him benched and Kyle Allen to take his starting spot. Kyle Allen and Alex Smith's ghost in front of him until both got hurt and he got replaced with Hinny. 

I honestly don't know if he is worth vet minimum unless we are going to surgically remove his arm and attach it to Teddy.

Dumb move.  Haskins is on the slippery slope to NFL irrelevancy and the Panthers thinking about kicking the tires is a good idea?  I guess they want to be seen as the good guys trying to give someone a second chance.  Let some other team give Haskins his second chance.  Fingers crossed they pass in him.  At least "two gloves" isn't a head case.  Remember when Haskins 'supposedly' slid down the board on draft day (only in his mind) he was going to show all the teams that passed on him what they missed out on.  Boy did he show them!!!

It's not just that. He doesn't study and handle his off field work.

 

The covid violations were not the stones that hit the camel's back just the final straw. .
