Joe Person: Panthers will prioritize re-signing Taylor Moton over Curtis Samuel

No brainer in cutting KK and Weatherly, use all that money towards Moton’s new contract.

taking a quick look at Over The Cap, it looks like if we did all of those cuts, we'd have around 39 mill in cap space.  If Moton does cost 15, and I think it will be less, and actually had a first year cap hit of that 15 mill, we're looking at around 24 mill in cap space.  Rookies will take about 7 mill of that, leaving 14 million to fill a hell of a lot of holes.  If we work things out with Moton, we could maybe see a first year cap hit 11 mil, giving us around 18 mill to spend, unless other contracts are restructured.

Perhaps with the 17th game added, the cap will be a little higher than expected.

We really need to hit on another draft this year.

Don't quote me on this, but I think the sentiment in the NFL was that the cap wasn't going to be increased with the addition of a 17th game due to the huge losses they had this year.  It would, in fact, help offset these losses next year projecting the hope for an increase in the 22-23 season.

Save another 5 mil by cutting Paradis and another 2 mil by cutting Palardy.  Draft a center and use that combined 7 mil to bring in another FA

According to OTC, designating Short as a post June 1 cut saves 14.5 million.  Doing the same with Teddy actually saves us 8 million with 15 dead cap instead of 20.

Cutting paradis makes no sense. He is a top 15 center at an extremely affordable rate. You won’t be able to replace him for cheaper unless via the draft.

Yes he is, and top 10 in pass protections. No need to draft a center. It isn’t a need right now. We have a cheap performing center.
