LaCanfora is in my circle of "I'll listen to him but don't always take him seriously".

In this case, I think he's probably right. But keep in mind, he's only reporting what others are expecting.

Hes not my first choice, but I wouldnt hate him either. Honestly hes a unknown to me. The Denver deal is puzzling. What I heard is John Elway recommended Peters to Lynch when he got hired as GM. Now denver needs a new GM with all the power, and Peters name is no where to be found. Very Weird....

Scot done the best as gathering infro on Peters, checkout his profiles. 

Edit add- Its well known tid bit that John Lynch is the face and Peters is the brains in SF. Lynch does the interviews and deals with ownership and Peters handles roster and players development roles.
