If you could be one of 32 for whatever field you were in you'd take that chance.

That is a powerful draw. Though if I can also see the logic in making sure you are ready when you do get the chance. He has a lot to learn and it's not like a player that risks getting injured. I think if it was me I would wait and prepare for it. It is likely to be another difficult offseason for teams on top of being an extremely green new coach.

Taking a HC job is a zero risk opportunity. If you don’t cut it, you get a big paycheck for a few years and go back to being a coordinator.

Who wouldn’t take that chance?

You risk being a failed HC instead of making sure you are prepared and making it last.

He's probably pretty pissed that Brady is interviewing for HC jobs (not sure why) and the QB coach is interviewing for the LSU OC job.

I guess he'd like a little bit of stability in his coaching staff - especially coming off a 5-11 record.

Rhule stated last year he is always happy for guys who continue to grow and rise the coaching ranks.

Y'all need to stop your bitter BS.

Those coordinators are few and far between.  Most have egos and want the opportunity to run their own team.

It takes a couple of failures to realize their fate in life is a coordinator.  IE Dom Capers.  Came here and Houston before settling in as a DC. You might find Jack Del Rio doing the same thing.  I also wouldn't be surprised if Snow is content with being a lifetime DC.

Brady is young and I hold no ill will if he tried his hand at HC.  Rhule would be foolish to think that anyone of his hires won't be interviewed for a position if that coordinator does a good job here.

I personally don't think Brady is going anywhere but who knows.

This thread is completely ridiculous. Anyone who becomes a top coordinator in this league got there by having the drive and ambition that would also result in them wanting to become head coaches at this level. There are some rare exceptions but they are always older coaches who have already been head coaches and frankly won't set the world on fire as coordinators and may not have the innovation at that point to keep up with the changes in the league. Guys like Wade Phillips, Gary Kubiak as coordinators are solid but not exceptional and they are rare to find even if you do want that. I much prefer a constant in-house development of talent -- it's worked out completely fine for guys like Belichick and Reid when their coordinators leave for HC gigs.
