I'd love to se a list of his missed FGs this year. Doesn't he have a 65 and a 67? And one of those was in the wind.

Minn: Missed GW FG from 54 yards, 28 yd FG blocked

KC: Missed 51 yd FG, Missed 67 yd GW FG

NO: Missed 65 yd GW FG

CHI: Missed 54 yd FG

AZ: Missed 42 yd FG

Yet this is the reason everyone wanted to ride Gano out of town because he "couldn't make long FG's." Well now we have a guy who is substantially worse from long distance.

No, it was because he missed kicks that lost games. The Denver week 1 loss was only a 50, not super long and the NO playoff miss was under 30. Those Tampa games he was just missing all over. Ron wouldn’t even go for an XP against Detroit. It was his consistency and being a top paid kicker. Not many kickers get hurt but we paid him to miss 20 games his last two years.

As for Slye, don’t really care this year if we draft or rookie QB. I don’t see us really competing for the playoffs until 2022, especially if the playoff format goes back to 6 NFC teams. I wouldn’t mind drafted a kicker really like like Butker and letting them compete. Nothing early but maybe a 6th/7th/UDFAs in the next two drafts and let them compete and maybe keep a potential K on the PS.

Yeah and now we have a guy that misses kicks that lose games....at a higher rate. Not super long, either. Also misses XP's.

Rivera not kicking was Rivera being a dipshit, which we all knew.

In case anyone was wondering (or cares) of all the kickers who attempted at least 10 FGs this season, Slye’s made percentage ranked him 22nd.

Butker ranked 9th

Gano ranked 3rd :fear:

It’s almost like Graham Gano is a great kicker or something. Wow, I’m shocked. Who could have seen this coming?
