Gawd Saints fans are dumb

Teddy will have a long career in the NFL but any team he plays on will always be looking for the next guy. You may sign Fitzpatrick but you want Josh Allen. You may sign Alex Smith but you want Mahomes. You may sign Tyrod but you want Herbert. You may sign Teddy but you're only doing it for three years because you want something better. I expect Carolina to draft a quarterback this year, and use Teddy as a bridge quarterback next year, but I hope they don't.

Nah OP this is some real poo, except the last part

Yep, pretty ignint. Bridgewater isn’t a starter in this league. End of story. “He won’t win you games but won’t lose you games” does not apply. He absolutely will lose you games. Lost us many this season.

Yeah that moniker of “won’t lose you games” is very out there window now.

I went through a couple of pages and I don't think they make TB out to be a good QB.  A game manager but not a winning type of QB.

They pointed out our OLine issues and the fact CMC was out.   I hate the Saints as much as any team in the league but their posts were not making TB out to be some offensive god and we just didn't know how to use him.

While I don't believe TB is the answer the facts of a poor line and the lack of CMC definitely didn't help his cause.  If we drafted a QB to sit behind Teddy and we get some help on the OLine and CMC back we might actually win with TB.   It won't be pretty but we could win.

He is a game manager so Teddy needs playmakers like CMC to look good.  One question still remaining is why he can’t produce game winning drives, happens every time.

Look any QB needs playmakers.  The only QB I can think of that did more with less was Cam in 2015.

I don't think TB is the answer at all but I do think until we can get one in place he better than some teams options.

As I said before I believe we'll draft a QB somewhere in this draft that will be groomed to take the helm in 2022.

What is so far-fetched about what was said? No one is touting him as the second coming. Most are saying he is a capable starter who can win with the right pieces around him. He’s not going to carry a team. There’s truth to all of that.

    • It's not good to leave any netminder having a bad night out there, not fair to them, not fair to the skaters still trying to win the game It's classless and shows a lack of respect, for them has a player and a human being, you aren't gaining anything, you aren't learning anything , except they just don't have it that night. I don't care if it's a multiple Vezina Winner, or a 3rd string back up, don't leave them out there to shame themselves and the rest of the team  What if Lavi left Cam in when he didn't have it, and Rod had to skate knowing he essentially has an open net at his end of the ice, would he enjoy that ?
    • If they draft Stewart at 8th, I will ask @Mr. Scot for a list of GMs and might as well ask for HC too.....
    • I can't for the life of me figure out what people are seeing in Stewart on tape. If he can't just simply run around or through the OL in front of him, he's cooked. I don't see any actual moves. If he doesn't win on sheet athleticism at the point of contact he's nullified. I don't know if I've ever seen him actually beat a block once engaged. Then, even if he just blasts right past or through the OL and has a clean path to the ball it's like he's blind. He can't find the ball. He's like a bottle rocket. Yeah, he takes off fast but he's just going to go fast in a general direction. There will be no course correction. I watched quite a bit on him just because of his perceived draft evaluation and because of the wild discrepancy between measurables and production. Watch him play and it all makes since. He's a god tier physical specimen who just happens to be playing football. I don't see a football player. People need to stop falling in love with the potential and start realizing why the potential isn't translating.
