I wouldn’t pay HC money either, but I’d be willing to make it worth considering.

I think they are hiring Brady way too soon, I personally thought we might get 3 years. A lot of these teams are trying way too hard to find the next “it” coach. Since McVay had success.

Lol at people saying he is not ready.

A seasoned NFL coach can fail and do just as easily as newbie NFL coaches.

The biggest aspect of being a head coach imo is hiring the right people to fill out your staff.

Ron's biggest mistake was promoting Shula to OC.

If Brady understands this, he is ready. If he thinks he has to hire his buddies in his coaching circles that are not the best man for the job, then he isn't ready.

For what it's worth, the hiring of Nick Caserio in Houston might affect what happens with Joe Brady.

Caserio would be well acquainted with Bills OC Brian Daboll since Daboll spent several years working for the Patriots. Plus Caserio and Daboll apparently share an agent. Those factors could give Daboll an inside track to the Texans HC job.

But it also might not...

The Texans were conducting their GM and head coach interviews separately, so it's not guaranteed that Caserio gets a say on the head coaching hire.

Throw in that Daboll has had a few somewhat negative things to say when asked about his time with the Patriots.

One other thing to remember on Brady...

The Falcons have interviewed Saints Assistant GM Terry Fontenot for their open GM spot.

Fontenot would know Brady from his days with the Saints, so if he gets that job and Brady is still available, it could be a natural connection.

Brady will be an absolute disaster of a HC. He's a bright young mind but will be in wayyyyy over his head if he gets the gig any time soon. Especially if he goes to Houston where the cupboard is completely bare except for Watson. I thought he was okay as a coordinator here in year 1 and showed some exciting things, but ultimately our offense was roughly league average and terrible in the redzone and on 3rd downs, despite having a ton of weapons and (theoretically) a capable low-end starting QB. I'll be completely fine if he's 1 and done here. I trust Rhule to replace him if he does leave.

I'm not sure if he'd be a disaster, but he'd certainly be learning on the job.

The Hurricanes are currently allowing Manny Diaz to learn on the job. It's rather painful - he's improved year on year, but he's made critical mistakes each year because it's his first HC gig and managing an entire programme is wildly different to managing a unit.

Beyond Rhule's impressive resume of turning around two terrible programmes in short order, he's been a Head Coach for 7 years (8 now). He was a much more sure bet than a huge gamble like Brady. I'd be very nervous if I was a Texans fan.

I think he'd be enough of a disaster that he'd be fired within 3 years. He is nowhere near being ready and NFL owners these days are extremely fickle. I do think Brady will have success as a head coach in this league at some point as he is a bright young mind, but he needs to work his way there. It's completely absurd that he's even getting interview requests this early. It's just owners trying to copycat the Rams with McVay, unsuccessfully. Long are the days of organizations actually allowing head coaches to develop and build their program there like the Cowboys with Tom Landry missing the playoffs for 5+ years before he finally put it all together and built a consistent winner and multi-SB champ. I think Tepper may actually be one of the only owners now with some patience to build a program and give the HC some time (just based on what he's said and the contract given), but I doubt even he would hesitate to fire Rhule if after 3-4 years we haven't made the playoffs...

I can not believe the Defense out played the offense this year, Brady looked like a rookie OC. No idea why a team would give him the time, given the way things played out. Redzone was awful and its not all Teddy fault, thats where teams score and we sucked there.

Our offense had two receivers with over 1,000 yards, a third WR with over 1,000 yards from scrimmage, a RB with over 1,000 yards from scrimmage, and that’s with our best offensive weapon in CMC out. Plus, that’s with Bridgewater at QB. Bridgewater had a good amount of turnovers in the red zone. I’m not saying they should eye him for Head Coach, but I can see why someone may be intrigued.

20 to 20 that was pure art to watch, nice to have a modern O after 20 years of run, run, pass, punt styles. I just dont see the glow that teams are seeing, he didnt even coach form the sideline until week 8 in his full year of OC. Hes a on a comet type of path. Offense main purpose is to score points, panthers did not do that. Example would you rather have 200 yards and 1 TD or 90 yards and 4 TDs?  True Teddy, but he didnt stop the team form signing him after they spent time together at the Saints. Fun Fact when the Saints traded for Teddy(near the end of training camp), It was Brady that spend the most time with Teddy getting him up to speed. They where joined at the hip and talking offense language/terms for weeks. 100% Brady could have said" Teddy is not what the 2020 panthers need".

I'm not emotionally attached to Brady and don't care if he goes somewhere else. He hasn't really impressed me and has some dumb play calls and/or drives every game so It's whatever for me.

I would like to go through a complete draft cycle with him so he can help evaluate the qb's coming out.
