I don't think Brady is averse to the TE position based on anything in his history. At LSU a TE was their 3rd receiver in terms of receptions and that was with Jefferson and Chase. Payton and the Saints certainly don't ignore the position either.

It really comes down to do we not value TE cuz ours suck, or do ours seem to suck as a result of us not valuing them. Couldn’t hurt to have a good reliable TE, even with CMC and our receivers.  Even more reason to target a cheap vet rather than blow a first round pick on a TE

Aren't all the TEs on Iowa State's roster like 6'6" or taller and start around 260lbs somewhere?    Lemme go look......brb....

Yep, toss out the freshmen and sophomores and you have 2 juniors and 2 seniors, the smallest is 6'3" 260. And the Cyclones use 3 TEs a lot. They block and catch.

Chase Allen: 19 receptions for 236 and 2 TDs- avg 12.42 ypc

Charlie Kolar: 44 receptions for 591 and 7 TDs- avg 13.43 ypc

Dylan Soehner: 18 receptions for 205, no TDs- avg. 11.39 ypc

and we need a new TE.  Definitely need a bigger target that we can utilize.   Especially when the matchups invite and favor such.

We need more than one player this offseason. If that actually needs to be said.  We'll all be dead along with the players and coaches before we upgrade the roster with this silly notion.
