How much you willing to trade for a QB

Houston losing yesterday was actually probably better for us.

It’s possible Miami is willing to trade out of that spot for a QB needy team versus Atlanta who never would’ve traded out and especially not with us.

If we sit at 8, I think it’ll be between Surtain/Horn or Lance. Couple other names like Rousseau, Slater and Chase could be in play too. However, Tepper specifically mentioned QB and CB as the teams needs.

You could make a case for 6/7 teams in front of us that they should draft a QB. Tua didn’t look good this season when he was on the field.

I think if they fall in love with one of the QB’s they do what it takes to move up

Totally, the real question is how our new scouting crew will view Zach Wilson, Trey Lance & Mac Jones.  One of those three is our new QB.

It depends on what system we run as well if Brady is gone. We need an accurate guy who can run a spread/WC style of QB if Brady stays. We need a QB who is maximized in the system we run not necessarily the most athletic QB.

Maybe Derek Carr or in the draft for Zach Wilson at #3.

From 8 to 3 would require a bit but could be worth it.  BUT college football isn't over, interested in that title game w/Mac.

I think we need to root for Mac Jones (I don’t want him) to put on a show and Fields to struggle against Bama.

Maybe it’ll complicate things enough to help us

Yeah, maybe the OSU stigma along with a rough outing could put Wilson in favor for NYJ.  Never know.  Interesting times.

And who knows, maybe Joe Douglas really likes Darnold.

I think it’s very realistic to think QB’s go 1-2-3 this draft but after Jacksonville it’s definitely too early to think the Jets are a lock at 2

I don’t think Sewell gets past Cincy, that’s about the only thing I’m confident in outside of Lawrence to Jacksonville.

I defended Teddy for the majority of this year but after yesterday, I can't see any way that we don't grab a new QB before going into next year. Maybe someone falls to us in the draft, perhaps a poorly coached young QB out there can be traded for. Either way, we can't go into battle with Teddy under center, PJ just hasn't got it and Grier barely gets to ride the bus, much less the bench. Heck, I was more thrilled to see Tommy Stevens on the field yesterday evening than anyone we've had so far this year. Dude didn't know a single passing play but he at least was all about banzai charging for first downs.

Heck, I'd keep him, give the other three guys an apple and bus ticket and then just trust in fate to get us a good QB1 in the draft or from the junk heaps. Either would be an improvement over the INT-factory we've fielded so far.

Four offensive weapons racking up 1,000+ scrimmage yards this season and we have a 5-11 record. We owned 85 yards of the field, but just sucked historically for those few yards into the end zone. It's greatly on the QB, but that heralded OC we've got has to shoulder some of this.

Yeah, Joe Brady has had a lot of head scratching calls this season. While Snow seemed to improve as the year went on, I didn't see the consistent improvement with the offensive playcalling.

I'd say some of the hype train on Brady has slowed down.

Part of it is the QB holding the offense back. Is this not Teddys most touchdowns, yards, and higher completion percent of his career? If so, that’s very telling.

I think he needs to get off the sidelines and get up in the coach's booth. It's what the experienced OCs do. As has been pointed out before, this isn't taking on Old Dominion or Yale every other week. This is the NFL where you're facing a top 10 college team every danged week.

He may be a genius, but he's going to need some seasoning. Hope to see improvement next season from him.

I wouldn't trade next year's first to move up only 5 spots.  So in addition to our current 1st round pick, I would only offer this year's 2nd and next year's 2nd, if they don't want to accept that then let it go and try to trade up with the Bengals to #5 to at least definitely secure one of the top 4 QBs, if not, then I'd honestly be happy with Patrick Surtain II at #8, the guy is a fuging stud.

I wouldn't trade up for a QB in this Draft. Our roster isn't in any sort of shape to compete for titles - we can't afford to sacrifice Draft capital.

If any of Fields, Wilson or Lance fall to #8 I'd consider them. If a team offered to trade for our #8 pick I'd consider that too.

In terms of trading - I'd be curious to see what the going rate for Carr and Stafford was - if it's a Day 3 pick I'd be interested. We're only committed to Bridgewater for another year.

Failing that I'd consider late round QBs in this Draft.

I agree but there were also some playcalls that really seemed to defy logic given the game situations. I don't think Brady is the hot shot that is going to take the league by storm. He has a learning curve too.

I don't think this is a bad thing. Might allow us to keep him longer.
