He's not a douche. This is what he should be doing. We should've straight up thrown that game vs. WFT if we had to which is exactly what Philly is doing right now.

I posted this in the Pick 8 thread. Sudfield has been on the Eagles for 4 years and Hurts is a rookie. Who needs more reps?

Complete tank and honestly I wouldn’t be shocked if the coach told him to turn the ball over he’s looked so bad. Hey kid we’ll keep you as a backup/3rd QB if you keep our draft slot.

Yep, you can't fail to see the forest for the trees. Forget all that bullshit "always coach to win" mantra. At every other level, absolutely. There's no benefit to losing. But at the professional level there actually IS a real benefit to losing when you suck and you're out of contention.

The funny thing is that starting Grier would have been more excusable to say hey we need to see if Grier should even be on the roster. Sudfield has been at Philly for 2 more years than Grier and Hurts is a freaking rookie.

We absolutely should have been doing last week what Pederson is clearly doing now. Once we got to pick 3, you cannot give it up for nothing. Woo boo, we beat Haskins and then got ass ripped by NO without Thomas and Kamara. We definitely went into the off-season on a high with a 2-9 finish.

i’m not convinced pederson isn’t planning on quitting. i am in favor of losing games when it makes sense and it makes sense for philly but idk if you want to be this obvious about it lol

It hurts your league, however.  Turns it into pro wrestling.  As a fan, I can pull for the team to lose, but as a coach, I think you should try to win.  This is like throwing a game in Vegas--which is a crime.

There should be a committee that investigates and watches these games---if they are determined to be losing on purpose, they should lose the draft pick.

I understand playing bench players if you have it wrapped up, but those players try to win.  These players know what happened.

At least the announcing crew is basically calling it for what it is. They haven't straight up said the Eagles are tanking this game but Collinsworth has said everything but those words while beating around the bush regarding some of these baffling coaching calls.
