I tend to agree. This is a very strong CB draft, so getting more picks this year would be ideal for them. I would maybe trade down with another top 10 team and pick up an extra 2nd round pick and maybe a 4th round pick.

I see it as a team playing the hand they are given to improve themselves 

how is it any different than playoff teams ‘resting’ players which increases their chance of losing ?  That too, affects the draft 

at some point, conferences need to go away and it’s all about wins and loses and some other reward method to encourage teams not in the playoffs to perform 

Philly was smart in my book.  Every year the turnover in the nfl, team to team, is large 

one thing is certain, Eagles pick six. Panthers pick 8. Who was smarter

Eagles drafted Hurts so now they can focus on protecting him and giving him weapons, probably not drafting QB but trading down with a team who needs QB.
