No question...we are drafting a QB

Someone's going to fall to us, some qb always unexpectedly falls.

Most people are saying it's Lance now but it could easily be Fields or Wilson pending several different things .

The only certainty is the Jauguars getting Lawrence.

Some of the teams above us COULD get QBs. But which one actually NEEDS one ?  Id say Jags and that's it.

That opens a slew of trade up opportunities if the Panthers are dead set about getting a particular guy not named Trevor Lawrence

At 8 we are in a great spot to get the QB we want either by then falling or a trade up. Moving from 8 won’t cripple this franchise when it comes to getting a franchise QB

I'd almost be alright with trading most our draft to move up to get a franchise QB and use the other couple picks on OL then go into FA to grab a couple DBs and Olinemen

I don't care as long as we aren't trading future firsts. If it's almost all just picks from this year then you pull the god damn trigger

If Fields roasts Alabama then everyone's going to be knocking down Jets door for Fields. Going to be mahem on draft day.

If I were them Id take a treasure trove trade down

Hell even if we get some other position at our pick I'd feel okay with kicking the rocks on Trask or Jones with our 2nd rounder. Why not ... Open qb competition

Namely . We need to get a QB of some kind. Trade up for Fields Wilson , stay at our pick for Lance , or get jones or Trask in r2 . You have to do SOMETHING to address it . There's way too much talent on this roster to let it rot with subpar qb play

We kinda blew our chances of getting Fields and probably Wilson......hope you fools who wanted us to beat Washington gave you a warm fuzzy feeling all week and was worth dropping 4-6 spots over.

Who here wanted to beat Washington? Specifically @ them.

No one. I bust a blood vessel when people keep saying dumb s*it like that over and over. Either way we will be in a great spot at 8 to have someone fall to us or to trade up

I swear people here come up with the craziest perceived slights and defend them against imaginary enemies.

There were quite a few people saying they pull for the Panthers to win every week, even a couple of more wanted us the beat the saints this week, didn't care if it dropped us to 15th in the draft. Its not made up.

Trade the first pick in 2022 to move up with the Jets and get Fields. Other teams have done it to get their guy.

I dont want Zach Wilson, too many throwing arm surgeries. Weve seen this story already with Cam and Delhomme. Trey Lance is a no as well, no run first QB unless they run a 4.2 like Lamar Jackson.

In previous threads I was against drafting a QB.   After watching today’s debacle at QB, we definitely need to do something.  There are a lot wholes on the team, what do y’all think about Matt Stafford?  The price is going to be high for any of the top QB’s in the draft where we sit now.

Came across this article and thought it this was interesting. Here is a quick excerpt from it:

"But that’s not all. According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, the Jets “are expected to make a big trade this offseason.” That trade, Schefter reports, could even involve the No. 2 overall draft pick — presuming the Jets decide to stick with third-year quarterback Sam Darnold"

If the rumors are true that Myers is going to the Jags and knowing his history with Ohio State, it would not surprise me if Fields ends up a Jag at #1. I know Myers didn't directly work with Fields but he did try to recruit him and knows Coach Day and he is probably giving quite a bit of insight on him.

Which leads to the Jets...

I don't have any inside sources or anything like that but take this with a small grain of salt: My parents use to live near Clemson and was talking to one of their friends one day about Clemson Football. They mentioned that they met Trevor Lawrence one day at a party and asked him what he thought about him going to the Jets potentially to which he replied, "not going to happen."

Not saying it's true but giving the accounts of this article plus the Jets being the Jets, I can seriously see a potential Eli Manning trade happening and I have no doubt that Tepper will make it happen if he wants him bad enough.

Just my two cents
