Happy to see Ireland there.  Really think that happens.  Tepper will pay for a top guy, I don't see him cheaping out for a "buddy" , or purely subordinate situation with Rhule.  It should be a dynamic package that checks the other when appropriate.

In this case, Rhules connections, specifically Ireland and Peters are really good candidates.

Snow took a defense here that doesn't have the players to run his system, has a very limited overall talent pool, put something together with almost NO offseason to fit the players he had, and somehow we have a defense that is middle of the pack in points allowed.  He may ultimately not work out, but his work this year has certainly earned him some credit.

As far as other connections, Rhule is longtime friends with Adam Peters, acquainted "in football circles" with Ed Dodds, and knows and "respects greatly" Jeff Ireland.
