I  like the concept, and don't expect us to become a SB winning team in 2 drafts, but do you really think Darrisaw makes it to the 4th round. I was expecting him to be gone before our second pick.

As it currently sits, if we want Darrisaw it would have to be with our first round pick. Could probably trade back to around 15 and still get him while grabbing another 2nd.  This would be my plan if we miss on QB.

Having said that, a lot can change between now and April. There will be combines, individual workouts, and interviews. He could shoot up into the top 10, or he could fall.

No, I don’t and Tufele might be gone too in the second. It was more about What kind of value could we get if we didn’t select a QB early. But hey, if he looks like a starter at tackle, take him in the second, or even the first.

God help me for saying this and yes I know It hurts draft position and is ludicrous, but I would not be sad to see Carolina smash Taysom Hills face in at the bank Sunday

if Washington can beat the steelers and the bengals can win and the Jets, why not Carolina

I’d love it if we got Parsons. The defense in my opinion would be close to a complete rebuild at that point. Would just need some of the young guys to continue to get better. 
 

But....if Lance is there then I think you’d be foolish to pass on him or Wilson with our current QB situation. Next year’s QBs look significantly worse than this year.

I think Creed stays. He’s been pretty meh this year, anyway. Plus his parents don’t need the money.

I’d have no issues with us not picking a QB this year if we had a shot at Rattler next year. I know this place hates to hear it but I’d pick Rattler over Wilson and Lance right now.

I was impressed with what I saw in Pride, especially for a 4th round rookie, and I'm not ready to write Jackson off as a bust. He has been pretty good IF he's healthy. Defending the pass is critical and we need interceptions from our secondary, and not just when we are playing a poop team. Jackson is better at #2CB, and really should play the slot. What could happen if we take Farley is Farley CB1, Jackson CB2, Pride Slot CB. This would slow down of the passing we're getting torn up with in the NFCS, and help in case Jackson's turf toe starts flaring up again, or he has some other injury to his small frame. The Saints are the best team in the NFCS, so putting Farley on Michael Thomas gives us a better chance of winning, and the same goes for the other NFCS teams with great #1WRs. Teddy is not a "shootout" type QB, so we've got to slow down the high powered offensive teams like the Saints.

Ultimately Trey Lance is the main guy I think we're targeting. if you look at his body, his legs are extremely powerful for his size, and you can see he's lean with his defined biceps. That's 6'4 230 pounds of lean muscle, so if the pocket breaks down he is not going down easily. He will run through some tackles, and he's a major run threat if teams play us man to man. Not to mention he has a freaking cannon for an arm and can rocket the ball down the field. Now consider this fact, Trey went an entire season without throwing a single interception. Not one, and he threw the ball all over the field. Now add in that he wasn't even using great technique on a lot of those throws, and he still put it right where he wanted. Add in this, he has been working for months on his technique with a private coach. If he comes to the combine with better technique our scouts are going to piss themselves.
