What should the coaches and players have done differently yesterday? Washington is a bad team with a horrible QB and played terrible committing 4 turnovers. I'm pissed too, but did you honestly expect the team to lose on purpose?

We lost out on the Trevor sweepstakes after the 3rd win in week 5.  Probability was there would be at least one team with fewer wins.   Personally I never thought we would be in the running.  This team was extremely mediocre, but never horrible.

For year one under a head new coach and partial rebuild, we had the option of mediocre or bad.  Being good or better was never in the cards this season.  I saw enough in the roster to get us the amount of wins we current sit at.  I projected 5-6 wins.  That infuriated the take for Trevor crowd way back in the spring.  Anything more than than showing up for the coin toss was too ambitious.

We tried to trade down last draft. No one wanted Brown. We might try to trade down again next draft, but what falls to 9th might not inspire other teams. Rhule would want to have as many picks as possible due to his extreme confidence in his ability to build a franchise into a winner. Beating Washington will throw this franchise into 8 - 8 limbo for several seasons. We've entered the 8 - 8 Teddy Bridgewater limbo era of the Panthers.
