We are now officially pick #9

Brightside I for one like some of the guys that could be there at 9.

A. Kyle Pitts.  We all enjoyed having Olsen. Prior to that Shockey was pretty good too.  When we do get that franchise QB he is gonna love a guy like Pitts.

B. Micah Parsons.  I had a hard time wrapping my head around a linebacker in the top 5.  What I don't have a hard time with is a legit possiblity to replace Luke.  Micah could be that guy.

C. Patrick Surtain II.  6' 2" cover guy that has the size donte doesn't.  Bama athletes are the class of this draft.  Whatever the position the guys are ready for the NFL.  Patrick would be ready.

D.  Trevor Lance or Justin Fields.  I'm gonna lump these guys together.  One of the two could slip to us.  Both would be decent developmental QB's but neither would be someone I would start too quickly.

E.  ??? The Oregon tackle is the guy but another will become number 2.  It's a position of need and once again when we do get that QB of the future they will appreciate having a blindside protector.

Drafting another off the ball LB in the top 10 would be the opposite of a consolation prize. Is there not a fullback or blocking TE available?

Would rather have Pitts than Parsons myself. Maybe even leatherwood. We already have Shaq on a massive contract and went all defense last draft, can we actually act like Hurney is gone and not load up LBs.

TB is awful. But the oline is fuging atrocious. TE has been ignored forever and so has oline. Need to keep offensive offensive talent coming in for the new QB, whenever that will be, or revert back to what we have all seen before.

I forgot J'Marr Chase.  LSU ties. Moore, Robby and Chase would be scary good.  The modern NFL is heading this way.   Not the best example but Dallas was happy to get lamb despite having Gallup and Cooper.  And I'm like a broken record but when we do get that franchise QB chase will be a weapon.

You answered you’re own question. You don’t draft another WR when you have serious OL issues.

Liam, darrisaw, leatherwood and slater are interesting.  Leatherwood has the talent but I'm afraid he is better suited for the right side.  Slater may lack the size.  Liam and darrisaw are my favorites so far.

TE has been ignored forever? We're one year removed from Olsen. Count me out on TE in the top 10.

Was not really a question. I only stated some options.  But I agree wholeheartedly that the oline is a problem. I would love to see this scenerio.  Somehow we come away from the draft with a tackle , a guard  and a center. A wr to fill on for Samuel ( he gone) and a tight end.  It's asking a lot with the needs at corner, dt and LB on the other side.

Olsen was done 4 years ago and should never have been resigned to sit on the bench three years just because him and TD went and whined and complained about more money literally months after Hurney 2.0 walked in the door. Wonder why.

So yea I consider it ignored.

Contending teams draft talent when players on on their way out, the Panthers drag it out years before even considering a replacement.

I said I’d rather have Pitts than an LB not I want a TE in the top 10.

Linebacker vs TE what an exciting contest

Actually now that we might be out of the QB race ( not officially) we have options at lt, wide receiver and corner too.   I'm not saying J'Marr or waddle are julio or tyreek hill but..   the comparisons have been made.
