After this win and losing out on a top 3 draft pick, it looks like Teddy Bridgewater will be the starter next year

Jacksonville, NYJ, Atlanta, Detroit. All will have new coaching staffs and probably new QBs. Possible Top 4 QB prospects are picked before the Panthers pick. Very bad day for the chance of getting a top rookie QB next season.

I'm not so sure. Matt Ryan has a $50 million cap hit next year and a $27 million cap hit in 2022. Do you really use a top 3 pick on a qb that's going to sit on the bench for a year or two? Stafford has actually been pretty damn solid for his career but generally surrounded by an awful team and coaches. He's got nearly 4000 yards, 23 tds to 9 interceptions in essentially 14 games. QB is not their biggest need and they don't save much cutting him next year. Again, I think for both teams, a 2nd round qb makes more sense, where you can groom them to take over in a year or two but use that premium first round pick for immediate help while you're still tied to your veteran qb (or just wait till 2022 to draft one).

Hell the Jets, with Darnold winning 2 straight,  assuming he looks good in week 17, do you consider taking Sewell or a weapon like Chase for him and seeing if he ascends after moving on from Gase, similar to Tannehill?

Point being, before freaking out and assuming worst case scenario, let's see how it plays out. I have a feeling we at least end up with the 4th qb, who spends a season under Teddy to get up to speed.

Has there ever been a draft where 4 QBs go in the top 8?  I understand being disappointed in them winning, but it's not the defense fault that Rivera started Haskins or special teams for recovering a muffed punt in the endzone for a TD.

If I recall correctly, there had never been a team that drafted all defense...until last year when we did it.

As much as it sucks to lose out on a high draft pick, I also don't think it is THAT bad if Teddy starts next year

Does he suck?  Yes.  But the fact is that anyone who thinks this was going to be a quick turnaround is fooling themselves.

This coaching staff is legit.  If we don't take a QB in 2021, we still easily could in 2022.

I know everyone is disappointed.  I am too.  But it ain't the end of the world.  A team with good coaches will always find a way.  And if we make the right choice at GM?  Sheesh... this team is gonna be built for the long-term.

Yeah I wanted us to lose, but I can’t help but to think that pro level coaches and GMs don’t think about he draft until the season is over. Mainly because they see themselves as winners and they are confident in their abilities to coach and draft good personnel regardless of draft position.

The only way to legitimately tank is from the ownership/executive level. Talent fire-sale. It doesn’t always work either, but you can’t ask healthy athletes playing for contracts, to sit out or suck on purpose so that you can draft their replacements. And don’t think for a minute that Rhule and Snow wanted to get out coached by Rivera and co.

For better or worse, you play to win the game.

For all we know, they’ve been planning on trading back all along and have a QB they are in love with that they can get in the 2nd.

The sad truth is, this is a playoff team with a competent QB at the helm.  It could've been a quick turnaround...  so yes, Teddy starting again in 2021 will be THAT bad.

I don't agree with that.  The defense is much better than it should be talent-wise, but that talent deficiency still shows up quite a bit.  Let's not forget what Cousins and Lock did to us a few weeks ago.

Look, I get the concern.  I would have preferred a loss today as well.  But I think some of you are overreacting.  In the grand scheme of things, it isn't that big of a deal, especially if you trust this coaching staff.  If we bring a good GM in here, we'll be fine.  Good GMs and good HCs always find a way no matter where they pick.

NFL fans have a short memory (and I mean that with no disrespect to you because it applies to me too; this league moves FAST).  However, last year, the Dolphins were the team that was supposed to tank (#tankfortua), and that started the season off looking ATROCIOUS.  But guess what?  They started winning, and eventually played themselves out of a top three pick.  And the #5 pick they did have, they spent on Tua, who hasn't even started all season and has struggled when on the field.  And guess what?  They are okay.  All they need to do is win to make the playoffs.  Why?  Because they have a very good coach and made smart hires in their front office.  That is what matters the most in the NFL.

Obviously, we still need to hire a GM, and there is no guarantee that we make the right choice there.  But there is no reason not to trust Tepper's decision-making there.  Rhule, Brady, and Snow have all been amazing additions to this staff.  Not to mention that I have high hopes for what Pat Stewart will bring to this front office, especially if he was responsible for signing Rasul Douglas (he's struggled a bit recently, but still a great signing all things considered). I have every reason to believe our GM hire will be a good one too.

We will be fine.  I promise you.  Trust these coaches.

Lol 10 teams that will be picking ahead of us? Name them. Unlikely we beat the Saints. Probably picking 7-8. Houston won’t draft a QB. Philly/Dallas won’t take a QB. Bengals won’t take a QB. Chargers won’t take a QB. Where are all these teams coming from exactly?

He didnt say 10 teams picking ahead of us. He said 10 teams that could take a QB.

Jax, Jets, Dallas, NE, Philly, Detroit, Giants, Vikings, Falcons, 49ers, Indy, Denver, Washington, Tampa. All of them have a legitimate reason to select a QB next year.

Dallas isnt a lock to keep Dak and Philly might be willing to jump at the chance for a franchise QB if they think Wentz is done and Hurts isnt it. All the others have the ability to either draft or trade up ahead of us if they choose to. So if we win next week and end up at 6-10, we could end up with 15 opportunities to have someone else move in front of us to select a franchise QB. So to say that 4 QBs could be gone before we pick isnt. a stretch by any sense.

This was one of Bridgewater’s worst games this year. If the FO doesn’t see the need to draft a QB then I don’t know what to think about this team anymore.
I may skip 2021 season. I really don’t want to watch Treadwater for another season. Just not having fun watching the is team anymore.

Goodbye
