I am actually pretty pumped about the hornets finally getting an exciting draft pick. So many high picks and so many awful players.

I was more pumped before the first 2 games of the season... Will still watch and follow along with measured optimism but I don't think this team is even a playoff team this year yet which is disappointing. Plus only seeing Ball play 15 minutes a game blows. If one of Rozier or Graham isn't in the long term plans then we should trade him now and play Ball more. Need him to develop. Also, Monk not playing so that the Martin twins can is just a disgrace. I don't understand that at all.

Maybe, but it could go sour quickly. Win today, then Packers win tonight wrapping up home field, Saints may rest starters next week giving us another win. Ending with 6 wins could really drop the pick

If the Seahawks win they will be tied with NO for the 2 seed. So hopefully the Saints will have something to play for regardless.

He will. His game this year will hopefully keep him out of the top 5. If Fields plays bad against Clemson, he will drop also. It might be Lawrence, Wilson, and the two LTs with the first 4 picks.

Actual scouts aren't going to discount Fields or Lance based on one game. Media types and low rent bobbleheads will say that but that isn't how actual scouting works at all.

Yep. Looking forward to hockey. At least there is lots of hope there and an obvious bright future.

Yeah the Canes are in amazing shape both in the short term and the future. Ton of very young core building blocks in place already, many already on team-friendly long term deals, really solid prospect pool and have already had success the past few years. The future of that team will only be better.

If we miss out on the top 4 QB's of Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, Lance,  I hope we don't draft one of the other guys just to draft a QB. Draft other positions like OLine, and look to trade for Matthew Stafford. I don't think it takes a lot to get him. Stafford has 4-5 good years left which coincides with the McCaffrey contract. Stafford has one of the strongest arms in the league, his talents with our 3 receivers plus McCaffrey in this Joe Brady system would be lethal. I can't imagine the amount of big plays we would see.

The coach thinks we’re a competitive team or some poo. That poo is pissing me off.

The Panthers winning against a terrible Washington team game drops their draft position from #3 to potentially #9-10 or lower. The Falcons would be #3.

I take no joy in beating a horrible Washington team making tons of mistakes and basically giving the game away. This isn’t a good win. It is a sad win. “Moral victories” be damned.

Then we see Curtis Samuel has finally turned the corner and become a consistent weapon on offense. And wow he will probably be playing for another team next season.

Taylor Moton meanwhile, is a dominant RT but will probably be playing elsewhere in 2021 too.

Teddy Bridgewater is absolutely f*cking terrible and he will be the starting QB next year which makes me want to vomit.

I feel like there’s no hope and this team will continue to be mediocre and sad.

I'm sorry that your team is winning.

Pretty much sums up my feelings...

Me too. If we beat a team that didn’t look like dog poo then it would have taken a bit if the sting of dropping away. A punt return fumble TD and an all running drive scored 13 points. Teddy helped out on 7. Just feel like we are either going to get a QB we didn’t really want of a player who isn’t going to make up for the guys we lose.

I also know we’ll probably sign some more bandaids and get no comp picks for losing Samuel and/or Moton.

There goes Teddy again. Making Chinn’s case for DROY worse.

I can’t watch Teddy run this team another year with no hope of a good rookie QB. Yes, that’s hyperbole but dropping from 3 to 9 sucks.

As much as I wanted our star QB in the picks 1-5, historically that's not an indicator of what the future holds. We may find our guy in the 3rd or 4th. Those guys at the top aren't the only guys in the draft. Ask Russel wilson.

It is what it is. Bridgewater was expected to be her 2 years based on his contract anyway. Remember. First two seasons are building years, competitive by year three if we hit well in the draft.

falcons may very well take fields

They’ll likely go QB because they might not be that low again considering they could have won 6 more games if they didn’t suck as bad as Teddy late in the game. They can get rid of Ryan after 2021 for a not bad cap hit with a rookie QB.

Seriously people bringing up Wilson and Brady (not you but done). How about Montana? Do you guys really think we’ll be lucky enough to get the best QB values in draft history over the last 30+ years? Wilson, Brady and Montana are once a decade picks. If that’s your strategy then enjoy never getting back to the SB. First round QBs don’t always work out but they absolutely have the best hit rates.

Woo hoo. We are now 3-23 to finish the last three years. I’m sorry that you are happy with crappy season after crappy season. It’s like some people don’t get that we want to win, we’re just not interested in moral victories after going 1-8. Congrats on beating the worst starting QB in the league.
