I'm not so much in a "can't wait till this season is over" mode as I am "can't wait for next year".

We've got some building blocks, Marty's gone and we're likely to have a new young quarterback.

Lots to look forward to...

good idea yes GIF by Robert E Blackmon

Get used to it.............until this organization learns to prioritize drafting for a talented and deep offensive line play you are going to have garbage seasons no matter who you draft for skill position players............

Not prioritizing the talent and play of the offensive line to grab skill positions is putting the cart before the horse in this industry.

I understand 2020 sucks but honestly I thought watching football this fall was a gift. In the midst of so many things which failed miserably due to Covid 19, I never thought they would get to play this far into the season.  Sure I didn't like not going to games or missing the roaring riot parties but honestly football was a positive gift that I looked forward to each week.   Sure I would have liked to win more but I am grateful for every game and the sacrifices everyone made to pull it off.

Another good draft and add in a QB that can throw the ball more than 10 yards and this is a playoff team next season

I would pump the breaks on that. It would take a Saints super draft to be able to accomplish that feat. I said we would be lucky to get 6 wins this year and that came true. I would say we would be lucky to win 9 even with a good draft next year.

Go look at KC’s draft history with Reid. 1 T in the 1st, 1 C in the second, 1 T in the 3rd (in 2020 and he opted out) and 3 day 3 picks. That’s in 8 drafts. Only non-day 3 pick that was on the SB team was the 1st round tackle. Meanwhile 6 1st, 2nd and 3rd round skill positions drafted and that doesn’t include Hill who was a 5th rounder. Also, a bunch of early picks on D.

You don’t have to go OL early and often. Look at Dallas and all their 1st round OL. Way less playoff wins than we have over that period. Helps to have a good OL, but acting like it’s the only answer is absolutely wrong.

Bad football is better than no football.  I really thought a few months ago that they were going to cancel the season over Covid. I'll take two more games. Football is the only sport I follow, so for me it's a long offseason.

Same, as shitty as the season was it would have been worse (and likely set the rebuild back) if we had not played this year. I just hope that fan capacity can return to near normal by next fall.

Agreed.  The only thing I look forward to is about this season ending the "what's our draft position threads"
