Potential QB breakdowns

I really like Justin Fields.

With the right QB coach and protection, he could be special.  He has more gifted ability than the other 2.  I just wish I were better at assessing QB talent in college to pros.  I really do not know, but I think if we take a QB, we better get a LT early (2nd round) and some interior line help as well (free agency).  We need a TE that other teams have to respect.  Of course, keeping Moton is a must.

I must say, the 6 win season is seeming a bit far fetched--you were right.

And talent. Lots and lots of talent.

Mechanics only matter when the results are less than stellar.

He definately has talent---You all respect me because I am such an astute judge of talent on the college level.  I feel that respect, even if it is not communicated.

Seriously--I laughed at the Chiefs for taking Mahomes.  Laughed.

Everything I read about him was negative.  System QB, terrible mechanics, poor decision-making.  I celebrated when we "stole" Clausen in round 2, pick 48 (I think). Lotta folks did--just won't admit it now.

Keep up the good work policing this board, Linville.  It is noticeable.

I’m trying so hard to like fields, but I just don’t see him being worth the pick. I don’t think he is the right fit for this offense.

I think our staff has hinted at changing their schemes to capitalize on their roster’s strengths. Our offense will more than likely evolve based on who we draft. I think you are seeing this NO style WCO because that fits Teddy’s strengths the best.

I think we are year one in a multiple year process. Getting a QB is just a step in that process and Bridgewater as his name ironically in tails is a Bridge to a franchise QB. We might pick QB and CB this year. Or maybe a QB and TE but either way we will not be close to a playoff team next year. 6 wins probably will be closer than 10-6.

Maybe so. However, what Brady ran at NO, LSU and here is far different than what you see at OSU.  I’m going to root for whoever we draft, I’m just not confident in fields. Honestly, I’m becoming more comfortable with the idea of trading back a few picks and ending up with Jones or Lance.
