Assuming we take Wilson in the 1st, who are your top 2nd and 3rd round targets?

Yeah, I'm not actually on the Zach Wilson train. Just followed the premise of the thread. Here's another draft following your premise :D

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 4: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU (A-)
Round 2 Pick 4: Mac Jones, QB, Alabama (B-)
Round 3 Pick 4: Brock Purdy, QB, Iowa State (C+)
Round 4 Pick 4: Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati (C-)
Round 5 Pick 4: Sam Ehlinger, QB, Texas (C+)
Round 6 Pick 4: Blake Gallagher, ILB/OLB, Northwestern (A+)
Round 7 Pick 4: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virgina Tech (A+)

That should cover our butts, lol. The fact that this site has Darrisaw available in the 7th should tell you all you need to know about it.

This would be the most hilarious draft of all time. But the fun would be trading 2-3 of these guys during their rookie seasons to teams with injured QBs.

Im not expecting the QB we draft to start right away.

Thus im not taking a OL just to take one in rd 2.   I dont think the value will be good there.

That said CB class is projected to be storng and deep.  And may get a CB with a rd 1 grade with our 2nd pick.

Rd 3 go bpa of OL, DT, TE. Think we can get Brown here.  He is dominant, but is limited to a mauler RG.  Teams like drafting versatile OL up high, this may let him fall.

Rd 4, im trading and moving back into the 3rd to take advantage of the deep TE crop

Something like this would be great. Offensive lineman early and maybe one later. LB to help that group. WR to replace Samuel. Safety to challenge Boston. Then some rotational guys.

2- OT Alex Leatherwood

3- LB Chazz Surratt

4- WR Anthony Schwartz

5- S Tariq Thompson

6- DT Bobby Brown III

7- CB Tyreke Johnson

8- EDGE Tyreke Smith

Eichenberg, OT Notre Dame in the 2nd. Probably Derrion Kendrick, CB Clemson in the 3rd or Paddy Fisher, ILB NW.

I think OT or C is the play in round 2 (C if Creed is there)--but LTs are deeper, and we have Scott.  I think we are going to play a rookie at C and Cut Paradis (post June 1).  At LT, we can develop a player (I really like Eichenberg) for the job while Scott holds it down until ready.

I am pimping Allie Green (CB Tulsa) as a consolation prize for not grabbing a day 1 or 2 CB.

I'd be very pleased with this. I think Creed will last until the 3rd, but I could be wrong. I also like the kid from Boston College...Lindstrom.

I can see Creed going late 1st, early 2nd

After Creed, you have Josh Meyers who should go late 2nd, early 3rd, then Trey Hill as a late 3rd.  Landon Dickerson was probably late 2nd early 3rd before getting injured against Florida.

I like Eichenberg too. Of all the potential 2nd round tackles, I prefer Liam unless Slater or Darrisaw fall.  Leatherwood is good, but may be better suited at RT.

If we can land a rookie center and a rookie LT, that would be great. In that scenario I like the idea of getting a veteran like Joe Thuney to play LG right between the rookies. Not only is he a very good player, he can provide leadership to the young guys on each side of him.
