Assuming we take Wilson in the 1st, who are your top 2nd and 3rd round targets?

I like these players the most, also ordered starting with favorite if available.

2nd round:

S - Jevon Holland   (my favorite)

DT - Marvin Wilson

CB - Eric Stokes

OT - Liam Eichenberg

OG - Alijah Vera-Tucker

3rd round:

Center - Landon Dickerson  (injury?)  Not sure how serious his injury was Saturday, but if recovered and medical check out, he is a mauler at center, who has also played guard at Alabama.

S - Paris Ford (only if we miss on Holland)

OT - Jackson Carman

LB - Chazz Surratt

Center - Trey Hill

hell no. our OL is decent.

our CM and LB corps is trash

It really isn’t. Teddy is just General Checkdown. Based on how open Moore and Samuel and Robby got on the regular, a better OL would let us take more chances and a QB with an arm would hopefully get TDs instead of getting WRs tackled, making them run out of bounds or getting them hurt.

Also, as mentioned above we have Paradis signed for just 2021 and none of the rest of our starting OL signed past this year. We need to extend Moton and we need to go G at least twice (have at least one comp pick) and T maybe once (don’t reach for another shitty one, but at 38, could be one). We need to lose out and if we do, the Houston/Cincy game will help us either way. We move up to 3 with a Cincy win or we are more alone at 4 with a Houston win which means our 2nd/3rd and 5th/6th rounders all move up one slot. Atlanta ain’t winning this week but maybe week 17 if NO has the division as Tampa could choose rest or be able to rest.

If we go Wilson then we should probably address the o-line in the draft. You can find great G's in rounds 3 and 4.

2020 draft  - all defense.

2021 draft - QB and o-line.

We can find S/CBs in free agency. Teams do not let good/great o-line go.

Round 1 - Zach Wilson.

Round 2 - Deonte Brown G, Alabama.

Round 3 - Marvin Wilson DT, Florida State.

I don't really have any clue about later round prospects yet, will know more in the next few months as I read and watch more leading up to the draft. What I have seen is that the OT group is pretty deep, so if there's one for good value there in the 2nd I'd like that.

On day 2 I really prefer that we go OL or defense only. Of course if there's a WR that we think will be like a DK Metcalf sitting there in the 2nd, take him, but unless it's a clear BPA and too good of value to pass up then I think we're set enough at offensive weapons to focus our picks elsewhere in that range. Day 3 should just be BPA.

I want Creed Humphrey or Tyler Linderbaum in the 2nd. Get ourselves the pivot man on the OL to gel with the QB we take in the first (AND open up cutting Paradis to clear $8M in cap space that can go to keeping Moton and Samuel)

3rd I'd take whoever is available between Chazz Surratt and Walker Little. If neither, maybe see about a solid starting guard.

There are a lot of good looking offensive tackles in the draft. I think there would be a good market to get one of the top tackles or an ILB In the second. I think it’s time to stop thinking BPA and assess our needs based off of what we know we’re lacking in whether it be based off contracts (OL) or ability (secondary).
