When is the last time we drafted a left tackle that stayed healthy his rookie year?

This is my only problem with drafting a tackle at 3. They never stay healthy for us. I think you have to go back to Gross.

LT or OL in general should have been addressed when we had a real QB. Now people want to address it to protect dog poo, this is my main issue. How many wins will Sewell get us next season or the season after with T2Y?

He wouldnt. It would mean a 4 year rebuild instead of a 3 year.

My wife and I are huge panthers fans and I don't know if I can watch Teddy for 2 more years. If that happens we will lose a ton of fans and revenue. I would not jump to another team, probably just move into not caring or really watching anymore

Teddy doesn't start next year regardless of the draft.

My unpopular opinion....we could actually be decent with PJ...and way more watchable.

PJ is more exciting and probably a better option than Teddy at this point, but I doubt he is the future here.

I agree. I don't think he is the future, but it would be interesting to see what he and a healthy CMC could do with our receivers.

I also think he is a better option then some of the rookie qbs being discussed. Not all but some.  I would be tempted to take BPA at 3 and giving PJ a shot then reaching for a qb thats a 5050 and depriving ourselves of a top player.

Don't compare Sewell to those bums. Who thinks like this anyways? Cam was always hurt so we shouldn't draft a qb. Our great MLBs always got concussions so don't draft anymore linebackers. This is about the dumbest thing I've read on here

In retrospect would it have been a bad idea to draft a qb while Cam was here? Or mlb?

I mean its always worked out for the Packers right?

No. No it wouldn't. We've already partially seen it and it's being barely competitive against middling competition and losing against better teams. Also, IMO the last thing I think this offense needs is another reason for Teddy to throw it at or behind the LOS. Defenses have it figured out and the entire load can't be placed on CMC.

With respect to your second paragraph Teddy may be better at this exact moment but not by much and with absolutely zero upside. I feel like a change at QB is absolutely needed but I trust the staff to make the decision there, be it drafting someone or rolling with PJ and someone better. I was already as disenchanted with Panthers fandom as I've ever been before this season started and seeing Teddy lining up as a start for another season will just be the stake in the heart. It's just so goddamn boring and predictable not to mention easy to defend.
