Determining Draft Position

Raleigh PF

Recommended Posts

It will never happen, BUT...

A suggestion from a visitor to Profootballtalk suggested that the NFL change the way that the top draft pick is determined. Their solution is to have the two teams at the top of the draft play a game after the season to determine who gets the #1 overall pick. The WINNER of the game gets the pick.

I think it's an interesting idea. I'd certainly watch that game.

What player would want to play an extra unpaid game for something they don't get?

Imagine Sam Darnold and Gardner Minshew both just throwing pick sixes the whole game so that their team doesn’t draft their replacement.

I was just about to post this...lol.

This is the likely outcome of said scenario.
