QBs at the top of the 2nd round of the NFL Draft

They've had one of the easiest schedules in the entire league and against some of the worst defenses, and yet he can't make plays. He gets sacked because he holds onto the ball too long, although his line is partially to blame for that.

This sounds exactly like my description of Riley Skinner.

Bring in Pennington or Billy Volek.

Trade someone to obtain some draft picks, and pick up a tall, strong, accurate QB and let him sit for a year or so.

pennington is a terrible match for our offense. Volek is under contract for two more years.

I've been saying it for a while, I agree with fiz, bring in campbell. he's had to learn a new system every year he's played. I think he could be good. The problem is that it doesn't matter what happens, this isn't going to be a quick fix.

If we could trade away draft choices in 2009 and 2010 for a RB/OL and a DE that we probably could have gotten in the 2nd round, I would hope to hell that we could trade away the 2011 #1 for a decent QB prospect in 2010.

It's time.

This franchise needs to try and get a decent QB, not some scruff in the later rounds, not some scruff FA, enough of that crap.

If he doesn't work out, he doesn't work out.

We have certainly had busts in the first and second round since 1995, if we have a bust with the QB pick we have one, if we don't, we'll have a franchise QB for years..the face and arm of the franchise...someone who could actual throw a rope of a pass, have some mobility, and read defenses.

Crompton is one of those guys who I really like but don't know how he'll do since he's only really had this year. My big worry with him is his completion percentage and how badly he started the season this year... He's been hoving at or around the 50% mark all season long in almost every game with the exception of 3, and that's a big red flag for a lot of scouts.

I don't know, there are a lot of "late bloomers" in the NFL and I think he might be one of him, also the Tennessee coaches before Kiffin were aweful, so now that he has had someone who can develop him, perhaps he's improving more than we think. While I don't think he will get drafted, he might be worth a look... IMO.

What the hell does that mean....does not fit our O. We have no O other than handing the ball off. Good lord, at least he can move the chains, not throw INT's and win a game if called upon. We can't trust any QB on our roster right now...at least we could trust Penny.

Volek can be had. Offer a 3 to a team that is needing line depth, for a QB that can play the position for the next 2-3 years for us. Remember, they have Whitehurst as well.
