they can't. their contracts are untradeable. look them up. 

and the entire point of getting a high end rookie qb is having a good team around him and taking advantage of the rookie contract. the falcons can't do that or acquire new pieces.

Lawrence is worth the risk. All draft picks are a risk, why wouldn’t you want to at least take a chance with a local kid that ownership will do whatever is necessary to have succeed.

I heard a great analogy this morning. The discussion was Wentz, but I think it's applicable to Teddy as well. There are guys in basketball that you just give the ball to and they make a play. They can create their own shot. There are other guys who you can set up with a double screen, and they'll get free, square up and hit the three for you. Mahomes/Wilson/Rodgers, etc are the type of QBs who can 'create their own shot'. They don't need everything to be perfect around them to be successful. Teddy (and the radio host put Wentz into this category as well) are more the guy you have to set up with a double screen. They can be successful with all the pieces around them working well, but they can't create their own shot.

Leave it to IGO to give the whole entire fan base a false sense of hope. He did it with teddy. Norv Turner. It's a nice thought, but the Goldilocks of the Carolinas is going to the sunshine state. Nothing we can do about it.

Ditka gave up an entire draft for Ricky Williams. The Saints never made the playoffs. Even more bizarre is the fact the Redskins got all of the picks and I don't think they ever won a playoff game.

The Redskins traded up to get RG3...we know how that turned out.

The Falcons gave up a lot to get Julio Jones. He's a great receiver but the lost one SB with him and don't appear to be on the verge returning to one anytime soon.

I'm sure I've left some deals out. But, I really would like to see where giving up multiple high draft choices in multiple seasons to grab one guy has resulted in a SB win or even a sustained playoff run for a NFL team.

Given Teppers personality type I can definitely see them going for it

I would bet that it doesnt materialize though cause whoever ends up with the 1st pick would want him for themselves, and the opportunity cost would be too much for 1 college player, regardless of pedigree
