Can’t really say we had anyone that deserved it other than sweet Chinn music. The positive side is that we have a lot of young players who are on the verge of getting there if they continue to improve  and Moton was a snub. I hope we use this as motivation next season.

The Panthers joined the Jets, Bengals, Jaguars and Cowboys as the only teams in the NFL without an all-star for this season when the NFL announced the AFC and NFC rosters Monday.

Chinn was and never will be in serious consideration for DROY

Panthers are too bad and he isn’t high profile enough. Chase Young is flashy and on a team that  probably makes the playoffs. These awards are popularity and winning contests. Chinn didn’t even get defensive player of the week he scored 2 TDs on defense!

He's been defensive player of the month for 2 months.  And YES he is in serious contention.  While I believe the flashy Young will win it, Chinn has been in the conversation for most of the season.

If you aren't a Panthers fan, then we're just another 4-10 scrub team out there. Your players might as well be Lions, Bengals, Jets or Jaguars. Nobody outside of our bubble really cares. 

Our vets mainly hit the road, our star attraction for a decade is now getting plastered in New England, our player's coach is now coaching Generic Football Team. When the players, journalists and even fans start voting, man we aren't even an afterthought. 

We start winning, though, and people will notice. We've got those star quality players, they're just languishing in anonymity at the moment.

Folks--I do not care about getting knighted after a political pissing contest--if Moton had made it, he would have cost us 20% more.  Chinn deserves it--one of the best players in the League--but as a rookie #64 overall pick, I am satisfied that he has to be satisfied.  He and CMC are my 2 favorite players--if you want respect, win.
