Deshaun Watson

I can't think of any QBs I want to see us trade for. Either too high a cost or not worth the draft capital we could use to try to find someone better. Maybe in the draft but nothing ridiculous.

This QB is out of reach and too damn expensive. We need a rookie. The wage scale is too in favor to build around a rookie without having to choke on 30+ million a year for 5 years. That is a great window to start setting up a long-term cap that accommodates that 30+ million a great QB is going to take in the NFL going forward after that rookie contract. That's my hope now, we have good enough people to complete a cycle of competency in our team management, I just don't see Watson being a part of that in anyway.

If you really aren't that sold on the rookie qbs, you could offer Dak Prescott a contract to pry him from Dallas. I don't see them tagging him when it would cost almost 1/4 of next year's cap and they may decide now is the perfect time to move on and draft a promising rookie without the injury baggage and a fraction of the cost. At least for us, we get a qb and save our draft picks, including being able to draft a stud this year in the top 5. I think either option (Dak or Deshaun) is unwise given the money we already have tied up in Teddy, whereas getting a cheap rookie qb would make a lot of sense. But of the 2 choices, I'd rather have Dak plus pick 4 and next year's first.

What is Matthew Stafford's trade value? Would they have interest in Teddy? Even if Teddy was a stop gap for a young QB to tutor. Would Teddy and next years 3rd get their attention?

Stafford is really good, and his arm talent with our speedy trio could be lethal. Stafford's timeline fits nicely with the McCaffrey contract. At some point in the next few years we draft a young QB to develop. Stafford and another good draft makes this team a contender, especially with the Bucs, Saints, and Falcons not in good shape with the cap going forward.

So we should give up 2 first round picks and she'll out 40.million per year for a QB who has never won a playoff game yet is paid second to Patrick Mahomes. With the salary cap contracting this would be a terrible move.

Guess you missed that 16 to 0 come back he did against the Bills in the playoffs.

He signed a 4 year $156 mil deal and I think everyone including the Texans organization can agree they are FAR from being dangerous in a playoff push within 4 years especially once considering that division.

Impossible. I’ve been informed by huddlers all you need is a good QB to compete.

that's all some teams need.  Depends where your team finds themselves.  Watson on this team this year? Playoff team.

just look at how many games Teddy I can't throw downfield Bridgewater had an opportunity to win this year.  A poo ton.
