Kevin Greene passes at 58

One of my favorite Panthers of all-time

Wow.  My son was a child (3 or so) at the Panther camp in Rock Hill and I was taking photos of the Panthers.  KG walked up from behind my son who did not see him.  I asked Kevin for a photo with my son, and he reached down for him about the time my son noticed, and he ran from him.  Kevin grabbed his hat, but my son evaded his grasp.  I got 2 pics of this.  I looked at Kevin and said, "Sack master my ass!"  And he laughed pretty hard. He said something back, but I can't recall what it was.   I shook his hand and it was huge--nice guy. Down to earth.  I really hate this.

3 of the top 4 NFL all-time sack leaders wore Panther uniforms at one time or another. 2 of them have passed in Reggie White and Kevin Greene.

A tragic and untimely loss.

him recovering that fumble against the rams in 96 and doing the front flip into the end zone was a defining memory for me as a young kid

i was there in 126. it was the opposite side of the field but i could see it clear as day

Very sad....Kevin was my age, and it didn't seem like that long ago he was part of the "salt &pepper" duo. Geez the years go by so quick.
