Need a laughing emoji cause just no. He is a serious yes man. Publicly and privately. He is not hard to figure out. If tepper says jump Rhule will say how high. Period. Full Stop.

you're so goddamn unfathomably stupid lmao

We already knew Rhule wanted a "coach-centric" approach. I'm guessing Marty wasn't coach-centric enough.

I'm fine with coach-centric, what I worry about is Rhule possibly being power-hungry and wanting to run this like a college program where he is the end all, be all...  that's why I keep referencing the story about him and Brady being the ones that basically pushed Cam out and demanded we sign Bridgewater at the rate we did.  Hurney deserved to be fired for spinning his wheels for years regardless, but I fear if Rhule is given unmitigated and and unchecked power ober everything (like deciding who his QB is), and then gets it wrong, we'll enter into a loop of this same thing happening - Rhule makes a mistake, find someone to fire for it.

But again, Hurney was overdue for a firing and he was the last significant carryover from the last regime, so this was an easy move to make.

Nice. would have been better if you criticized his rd. 2-5 picks and not his first round.  Also, a position that Hurney is not good at picking. Hurney knows his LBs.

You'll get em next time tiger!

you dont have to simp for marty anymore. theres no point. you lost, and I won HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

I think you missed the point, the last thing we need with our 1st round pick is a MLB

Quite possibly the dumbest post on here this year

Yep.  And that is saying something in 2020.

People always want to believe there is more to the story than many times there ever is.

Hurney's contract was already set to expire next June.  I'm sure Tepper had already decided he was moving in a different direction.

Maybe there was a conversation that was the catalyst, but this was always going to be the outcome.

Tepper must have a candidate in mind IMO to make the move right now, but being that there are quite a few teams looking for a GM (Falcons included), it makes sense not to want to be at a disadvantage in starting the process now.

I respect the fact Tepper let Rivera & Hurney both go early instead of starting a secret search.

I'm sure Rivera & Hurney respected the decision, too, even if they didn't agree with it.

This is the NFL... coaches, management, players- ultimately you've either been fired or will be fired.

I'm quite confident Rhule & Tepper both respect Hurney or he wouldn't have been here this long since Tepper took over.

Check out the Fort Worth Star-Register article we were talking about here just a few days ago in the thread about Matt Rhule and control. That's where you'll find Rhule's comments about how he believes things should be set up.

He was via Brady. Yes. I dont think he's sold on Bridgewater though, but I also dont think we take a QB this draft. Probably next year. Hopefully that UNC kid. That dude is going to be good.

I think this is our chance to grab our QB. The team will be too good in two years to get a high enough pick
