Rhule may have had a part in this

Mr. Scot

Kyle Bailey was talking about a Zoom call that David Tepper had with members of the media this morning.

Tepper reportedly said that he and Marty mutually agreed that it was time to move on (yeah, sure).

But he also mentioned something along the lines of wanting to see better collaboration between the GM and the head coach, and apparently made some similar statements that indicated Matt Rhule and Marty Hurney might not have exactly been on the same page.

Makes ya wonder...

Mind you, Rhule has always spoken publicly about working well with Marty.

Of course, he also said he couldn't wait to work with Cam Newton.

Marty: So with our top 5 pick we're gonna pick the best off the ball linebacker available, also, we need to sign Mike Davis to a 7 year deal.

Rhule: lol, GTFO

Nice. would have been better if you criticized his rd. 2-5 picks and not his first round.  Also, a position that Hurney is not good at picking. Hurney knows his LBs.

You'll get em next time tiger!

That really doesn't excite me, especially if Rhule was one of the main proponents responsible for signing Bridgewater to a 3 year/60M deal.

He was via Brady. Yes. I dont think he's sold on Bridgewater though, but I also dont think we take a QB this draft. Probably next year. Hopefully that UNC kid. That dude is going to be good.

We already knew Rhule wanted a "coach-centric" approach. I'm guessing Marty wasn't coach-centric enough.
