Tiebreaker Tepper?

Each team has its own way of going about it, depending on how they have things set up.

Reading what he said overall doesn't make it sound like he wants to be a bystander and only get involved to act as a mediator.  He sounds like he wants to be heavily involved in the decision making process.  He even talked about renovating the facilities to have his office, the CFO, the team President, the GM and the coaches all having offices side by side and having the group constantly talk and collaborate on decision making.

And that's a bad thing?

Your "model" had Marty being here for years to come.

Might wanna step back from that...

You don't understand anything about business operations -- literally nothing.

I know you won't understand this either but here we go...

...the Appaloosa Model -- and Hurney having a spot within it -- are completely independent of each other.

I was wrong about Hurndog having a continued role in the organization and admitted as such straight away (attached).

That said,  Tepper's quote provided by Ellis is a concise/spot-on description of the Appaloosa Model which I explained before (you were unable to comprehend it)...again, attached.

Your interpretation is spot on.

I don't give a sh-t about business operations.

What I read up on is football and football operations.

I get that you think one tells you about the other. It doesn't. But if you're still sticking with this stuff even after being so egregiously wrong, I can't help you.

I see nothing wrong with this.

Tepper's basically saying, "come to a decision together as a team. Because if you have to come to me for a final answer because you two can't figure it out, you won't like the outcome. Remember what happened Christmas week? Figure it out, gang. Figure it out."

If Tepper has to be the "tie-breaker" because the GM and HC are behaving like the Watt brothers in the Subway commercial, there's a problem.

If Tepper actually has some football and common sense, it may not be a big deal. But, let me throw this out there, too. Tepper had to tell Hurney & Rivera to shut down Cam around Week 14 or 15 not that long ago. Then he allowed himself to be talked into Teddy Take-A-Sack going into this season. And I believe both Hurney and Rhule were involved in that.

Right now, Tepper doesn't want anyone trying to put one over on him and I think he may feel that way now that the Panthers are sitting at 4-10. Maybe he and a lot of other people (me included) knew a 4-10 was coming before the season. But, now that we are where we are, with some halfway decent QB play this team could easily be 6-8 or 7-7, which would have exceeded all expectations.

I think the way you worded it is making it seem as if Tepper is largely removed from the process unless the HC and GM can't get on the same page...then he steps in.  If you read Tepper's words, he along with some other executives will be right in the mix the entire time.  If they all coordinate and speak and there still isn't a natural conclusion at the end of it, Tepper will pull rank.

I'm not saying it won't work.  I just want to be sure that people are understanding what he is saying if you read the responses in full.
