Good article. But releasing cam Newton won’t be felt for years to come lol. It would have been nice to send him out as a lame duck this season though and not pay TB. That was surely a mistake. One that will screw us for next year but that’s really about it. But I don’t think TB would’ve come here for a ‘one yea deal’ and I don’t think Cam would’ve played for his last year here without an extension.

But who knows, everything else is a legit problem. And it could have been avoided had this FO realized, when the huddle knew, that these issues were the same constant issues Hurney had the first go around and was why he was fired in the first place.

Ah well, better late than never I guess. Just tired of the fans being right over ownership. Delayed responding by the FO has been a huge issue...hopefully this has taught Tepper something.

Article coulda been 100 reasons and still wouldn’t cover the half of it.

Wooooooow.  Can't believe it finally happened.

The most surprising part of all this is that it happened this season.  After Tepper called him one of the best 1st round talent evaluators over the offseason, combined with how we were beat over the head with the "Joe Brady and Rhule wanted Teddy as their QB," stuff, I'm surprised he became the sacrificial lamb for this season...  but it makes sense, bc he is the last significant carryover from the last regime still in the FO.  I also have a feeling that if Tepper hadn't invested so heavily into Rhule and Brady that one of them would have gotten the axe for the Bridgewater thing too.  They better hit in the draft and get this team back on track fast, if this move is any indication.

You brought us some gems, Marty, but also many a disaster.  So long.

And now, this also brings me back to the thought that, man, I wish we had retained Beane.:crying:

Don't know, but we can say one thing...

The jury Richardson era is now truly...finally...over.

Pulling off that band-aid sure has been a long, drawn-out and painful process.

No guarantee things will be better: rich dudes can be creepy dudes, new coaches can boom or bust, new management can be, as Roger Daltrey crooned "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss" but a new start lends itself to new hope..
