Bad Man Gone. Everyone gets Pie

Recommended Posts

Everybody's high on consolation
Everybody's trying to tell me what is right for me, yeah
My daddy tried to bore me with a sermon
But it's plain to see that they can't comfort me

Sorry, Charlie, for the imposition
I think I got it (got it), I got the strength to carry on, oh yeah
I need a drink and a quick decision
Now it's up to me, ooh, what will be

[Chorus]
he's gone, he's gone
Oh I, oh I
I better learn how to face it
he's gone, he's gone
Oh I, oh I
I'd thank the lord to replace him
he's gone, and he's gone
Oh why, what went wrong?

This is the right move. I'm not even sure why he was retained after last year, we should of started fresh with a new gm when we hired Rhule.  This past draft could be his best ever, but to little to late. To many times he hits on his 1st rounder and nothing else and you can't build a team and aquire depth like that. Add it in bad contracts to aging players and underperformers and it was time to go.

I think it had more to do with having a new coach staff and the unusual offseason due to the pandemic, which probably caused atelier to err on the side of continuity. But I believe this was the outcome all along - if not for the aforementioned circumstances, Hurney may have walked out the door sooner.

I never feel bad about people who suck at their job losing their jobs. I have worked for 29 different companies over the last 13-14 years at even more client sites. There is nothing worse than having a subordinate, co-worker, supervisor, manager, etc. who is completely incompetent. Everyone else around them either has to take blame for their fug ups or work harder because they are useless.

No offense, but fug his job. Be better and people won't be glad you are gone.

I am a contractor for the government.  I work around people or around decisions from above made by people who are incompetent on their best days.  So I get it.

We have people who have "left" that I wish they would hire back just to fire them two hours later.  It really is a structure that the fastest way for someone to get promoted is to screw up their current job.  I wouldn't be surprise to see Hurney in our food chain next month!
