Everyone on this forum thinks they're gonna get Lawrence.

At least I've seen Darnold make good throws at an elite competition level. He just has nothing to work with in the Jets. I have not seen that of Fields (who's bailed out by the elite talent around him all the time). I don't love Darnold or think he's a all-pro, but in terms of unlocked potential he's just as good as any of these guys and wouldn't require a first round pic.

Darnold isnt a good decision maker. If you want to knock people for poor decision making or not playing up to competition, Sam Darnold is an awful guy to attempt help make your argument.

I would choose Lawrence, Fields, Lance and Wilson over him and not second guess it. I’d debate him over Trask or Jones.

At least to start, yeah.

He reminds me a bit of Logan Thomas.  Looked super promising out of the gate but then it was apparent he had a ways to go.  Word was he wasn't winning the UGA starting spot and that's actually why he opted out.  And he picked a sh*t agent. Lot's of bad signs with him.

At least we all agree Kellen Mond is in line with an Eric Crouch.

I don’t think he would have lost the competition to Dwan Mathis but once JT was healthy enough to play it would have been interesting to see the competition.

This is def why I was interested in doing this.  For some reason thought there would be a big Wilson contingent but he's behind Lance so far. It's a really cool class, a lot to discuss about what they bring, scheme fit, everything.  This will be one of our most exciting offseasons in quite some time.

This is your guy?  Yea.  No thanks.  I'm not saying it's all his fault in NY, this is the Jets after all.  Maybe he'll turn into a real QB somewhere else, but I don't want to bet our franchise on a guy who hasn't looked very good against actual NFL competition.

Like I said, I'm not in love with Darnold, but look at Tannehill or Allen (before he got two of the best receivers in the game and a great O-line). The talent around you matters and dictates your success.

Fields - looked meh against better competition when he has a significantly better team.

Trey Lance - Played one game this season. Looked okay, I guess? I honestly haven't seen his tape from last year, but I'm not drafting a guy 4 overall just because he's big and strong.

Zach Wilson - honestly looks good. Honestly need to see more, but I haven't seen spectacular against better competition. Looked better than Fields at least.

I like the thinking and looking to a Tannehill type situation but Darnold doesn't push teams down the field.

He has floaters and doesn't seem to really have that itch IMO.  I'll concede if otherwise, but that's my view at the momento amigo.

He looked to have some grit today but he leaves a lot to be desired.

For me, he's if Locker and Daniel Jones had a baby who based his game off Brad Johnson.
