Yeah, but that is why I feel he was the best option here for 2020.  This offense can function perfectly without any shots past 40 yards and a lot of what we do schemes guys open naturally, especially the WRs/RBs we have.  Cam still has the ability to throw on a rope for 40 yards (but not much past that) and if he was operating with players who could get open and/or a better scheme, he would have a lot less of those bad/unsure throws...  and then the mobility and playmaking when things breakdown, he possibly is still the best QB in the league at running the ball, especially in the redzone.

I remember being absolutely wowed with him when Saban benched Hurts for him in the NCG.  Then that next year as a starter, I seemed less impressed with the larger sample size.  And honestly, he doesn't look as good as he appeared to me even in that season since he came back from this hip injury.  He looks like a game manager that doesn't really move the needle one way or another.  MIA looked better with Fitz in there.

Sorry, deleted my comment.  Didn't want to get into a debate about Cam.  

You might be right.  I thought that before he was release.  That we should keep him around, see what he can do.  But there is also a part of me that thinks that it was best to release him and move on.  Only time will tell if it was the correct move.  I certainly don't see TB as a dramatic improvement.
