No doubt, Just saying it's much easier to win when you only need to score 16 points....

I asked and there is at least HOF QB that was able to overcome a bottom tier OL, if the panthers draft a QB, Id more than welcome a WIlson clone.....(kill me...)

I use to defend Cam > Wilson, so this pains my soul...

Its amazing to see people believe one QB can lead a team to wins without a average OL and TEs.

Ive been meaning to ask the "DRAFT QB" crew to name one , just one QB that had a playoff run without a decent OL.....

Im going to start asking and again they will not answer.

That 2015 year, the OL was top eight. 2017 wasnt bad either, still not a bad one. It also shows how to break a QB too, with him playing behind a sad OL.

I was 5th row at the 2013 playoff loss to the 49ers it was painfull not being able to score at the 1 because we had nate fugging chandler at G.

So are you admitting his OL was bad, or denying his OL was bad. Rankings don't mean Jack, when we played against top ranked DLs they got destroyed.  The bad Kalil was a starter at LT. People still moan about that contract.

Remove Cam from the talk. And add in Russell Wilson. Great QBs mask deficiencys everywhere. Cam was playing out of his mind that year and couldn't be sacked because he was body slamming D-Ends.

You gotta be kidding me lol. That’s about the most ludicrous thing I’ve ever heard. 2015 they were just poor. 2017 they were bad. Ever other year since Gross retired they were somewhere between awful and bad.

Cam also had Greg Olson, Russ wilson is about the only one.

Bro

2013 Panthers OLine

Byron Bell - LT

Andrew Norwell - LG (Rookie)

Ryan Kalil - C

Trai Turner - G (Rookie)

Nate Chandler - RT

Both starting tackles didn’t start for another team once they left here as a full time starter, Trai and Andrew were both rookies as well

Quantity and quality. Give them say #4 this year, next year 1st and a proven star player, they may bite.

Pure picks idk if they go for it

That doesn’t make sense...it’s not how picks are valued with a prospect like Lawrence. The Falcons gave up slightly more to get Julio Jones, granted it was 23 spots, but it also was for SIXTH pic overall not #1 and for a QB like Lawrence.

So if you want to be more realistic, you’re looking at something like swapping firsts, giving them second. Plus first and second next year, and the first the year after that maybe even the second too.

OP also assuming Lawrence refuses to play for the Jets which is extremely extremely rare, and the ONLY reason the Jets wouldn’t be drafting him themselves.

Is he worth it in Madden, yes. Is he worth it because you’re completely delusional about what you’ll have to give up for him, yes. But realistically is he worth everything the Panthers’ would most likely, actually have to give up, not likely. It’s just not happening.

The only realistic way that Lawrence is drafted by or ends up in Carolina is if he forced the issue with the Jets. He seems to have indicated that he will not be using the powerful leverage that he has.

Elway and Eli Manning both succeeded in using their leverage. Lawrence would also likely succeed if he chose to dissuade the Jets from taking him and/or taking and trading him.

Enough with the bargaining stage. Move to acceptance. Jets aren't gonna trade Lawrence. We had the same poo with Burrow and the Bengals last year.

I genuinely believe Sam Darnold is a solid QB. Like if he was on the Bills, he'd have similar success to Allen. He's better than Bridgewater for sure. I think the Jets, with some convincing, would ride Darnold for another year to try and build their team out. They need talent and draft picks not necessarily a new QB. If Lawrence couldn't save the mess the Jets have. It's a win- win for both teams.
