Only chance to get the ball back with any time on the clock. Two minute warning plus a time out.  Not much of a shot, but probably better than relying on a onside kick.

It doesn't mean that.  You need your QB to lead a TD drive regardless.  You can burn more clock now trying and eliminate your chance to score twice, or you can kick the field goal and give your QB a chance to prove you wrong later.  Not that any of that means I/Rhule trust/should trust Teddy.
