After your heartaches and bing eating from depression when the staff evidences their understanding that Teddy is what they need to be successful via the off-season...You all will be giggling in the corner of the basement once CMC is back, the line is retooled, and Teddy has a more competitive overall roster to do what the staff already knows he can do. So remember, you will be screaming on this board once the staff sticks with Teddy but will be all smiles in a year, but most likely two.

Newton's performance this year has pretty much cemented that letting him go was a valid decision.

Doesn't mean we're better, of course. We're obviously a very bad team.

IMO, If you are going to draft a franchise QB...letting Cam finish his career here with respect, considering he pretty much ended it here physically, would've been the right call. He wasn't going to win us anymore games than we've won with the money pit we have at the QB position now.

Other than his likable Everyman persona which has charmed the brains out of whatever fan base is left, Matt Rhule is a poor man’s Ron Rivera. He’s a downgrade — far from the worst HC hire of the year, but far worse than someone of Bieniemy’s caliber.

Don't judge him too harshly in his first year coaching in the NFL with a bum at QB in year 1 of a total rebuild

Honestly, I think it was more respectful to let him try and catch on somewhere else.

There was never a chance that we weren't going to suck this year.

Like I said, he’s not the worst hire in any way. I just have been less than impressed. Those with selective memories who forget they ripped Ron for losing close games in 2011-12 have forgiven Rhule for making the same (and in some cases, even worse) mistakes. Ron had to go, because the players weren’t listening to him anymore. But I’m not seeing much difference this December from the December before, or the december before that...
