Not gonna lie. This is good. We need to lose out. We need it absolutely obvious that we need a QB.

The guys after Lawrence hardly fill me with confidence.

Fields was ass tonight. Wilson was ass his only proper game. Lance hasn't played all season. Definitely not talents worth intentionally losing out for.

I never want to lose but yeah I can't be too upset with this. If we beat the Packers not only would our draft position get worse but the Aints would have a decent shot at getting that 1 seed, which would result in much better odds of winning it all. Can't have that.

Possibly, but it would have been alot better for both sides. We have talent with our receivers, and I believe he would have done better here than NE.

And if he stunk, we let him go, instead we have a 63 mil dollar poo qb

If we'd have kept him, all the discussion right now would be "Why didn't we let him go so maybe he could latch on with a contender?"

They knew there wasn't a future there. It's pretty hard to blame them for trying to find a bridge guy.

The plan was fine.

The execution of it sucked.

Please tell me where we were going to find that this offseason. Trading up for Herbert? That would've been the only option and in hindsight it would be a great move but at the time the Huddle would've gone fuging crazy if we did that. Not a fan of the Teddy signing at all -- at the time or now. But it's not like there were better options out there. I wish we didn't commit next year's cap space to Teddy but aside from that it's not really a big deal. It's not like we chose Teddy over some other option that would've been better. There were no realistic better options.

It's a strong, very strong, legitimate possibility that both guys sitting on the bench are better options than Teddy, so as averse as I would've been to it at the time, signing a guy like Mariota would've been much better.  And regardless of how he looks this year with no weapons in NE, the bottom line is Cam should've been allowed to play out his final year of his contract and I guarantee he would've been better than Teddy with this cast and staff.  Hell, Jameis was probably a better option than Teddy.  All I know is, Teddy was the absolute worst option, especially for what we paid him, and we did it anyway.
