Darnold looks pretty close to a bust but in his defense his supporting cast has been utterly atrocious and he has the worst HC in the NFL who made Tannehill look like trash too.

I sometimes question Darnold's decision making . . . but I *always* question his coaching.  His decision making isn't like Jameis Winston bad, for sure.

Bulger at the athletic thinks Trask and Jones are day 2 (round 2) guys.  I dont think they talked about newman at all

Scenario for you. Final game of the regular season, Jets are 0-15 with the Jaguars sitting at 1-14. If the Jets slip up and win, they lose out on Trevor. 

Now, look at the final week opponent of the Jets. None other than Bill Belicheck and the Patriots. The Patriots will be eliminated at that point. Losing that game keeps Trevor out of the Patriots AFC East division. Belicheck is one of those guys, like Sean Payton, who will purposely lose that game to benefit himself longterm. Bill is smarter than Gase and the Jets, so he will "out lose" them in that game.

I can see it now, with Cam having only signed a one year deal. Bill says since they are out of the playoffs they want to start Stidham at QB so they can get a look at the young QB in game action.
