f he can maneuver in the pocket and can make the deep throw I would be ok with him.  I don't think we need a RPO quarterback with the weapons we have.  If he can run our offense and get the ball downfield than IMO he's a viable candidate.

Some coaches like having a mobile quarterback in a West Coast scheme because they typically don't keep many extra blockers back. Everyone has route running assignments.

But I had agree that with the offense we use, a run threat at quarterback isn't really necessary. It might be nice to have if you check the other boxes first, but it's not a priority.

I'm more concerned about Trask's relatively average arm and slow release than I am his lack of mobility. He honestly reminds me of Byron Leftwich with a more conventional looking throwing motion. If you don't have great velocity at the NFL level you better have a lightning quick release. Trask has neither.

Some of these top guys seems to be accurate but not deep throw ability. After TB, are we wanting to draft a player that doesnt throw deep?

Hell no but that is me. It's not just down the field but also in the redzone when the D is bunched up. Noodle arms are for backups and teams too dumb to find another path and not get pushed into taking someone else's future backup find that out regularly. Hoping to Dilfer or Old Manning yourself into a Championship feels like waiting for my loto ticket to pay my mortgage.

If a guy has all the arm in the world, velocity (which Kyle does) and can't process what's going on fast enough velocity won't help the ball will be late or contested.

Kyle has a great high release, slow? Not sure about that.

Hmmmm. This guy says Kyle Trasks release is like .32 or something like that. He says that's elite territory. Breaks his mechanics down and liken him to Drew Brees and Andrew Luck.

No matter what he says it doesnt change the fact to me that he has big windup throwing motion.  The play at 4:00 shows it

Truthfully if Trask in my mind and current stats is better than Lance as far as NFL ready, I'm curious about Fields and how those two measure up. As I've said, I can't look at running on college guys as a given in the NFL, so if I measure Trask/Fields as NFL QBs I may just find that Trask may be the dark horse candidate for #2 QB(I'll check) Chicago wants him too.

Fields was the #1 QB in all of college football on pure drop backs last year. Including over Burrow. He’s an awesome passer. He’s going second overall. And he’s earned it.

Lawerence and Fields are like Luck and RG3.

Lawerence is the most hyped in years.  Fields is a Freak with a Good arms and tons of Upside that everyone likes.

Lance is Like Mahomes (Dont Jump to the Woah Mahomes is the Best QB......)  think Mahomes going into the Draft.  Mahomes was the clear #3 QB going into the 2017 draft and everyone was SHOCKED when KC picked him over Watson.  Mahomes had a Cannon, was mobile but not confused for a RG3 or Vick.  Mohomes had 1-2 bad games like the Iowa State game.

FWIW Lance is a LOT higher on Scouts boards than fans due to his Tools and upside.

Scouts still really like Wilson but he is still behind the other 3.

Trask isnt in the same class as the other 4.  May sneak into the bottom of the 1st
