Teddy disobeyed Rhule

Captain Morgan

If Teddy were an incredible QB with a brilliant mind and fearless in the pocket, then I'd be fine with him making some disobedient decisions.  Teddy is an average QB who tends to make mistakes when there is limited time and the pressure is on. He's not a good 4th quarter, air it out, quick decisions type QB. The game is too big for him, and so we have to replace him in the long run.

The face of our franchise should be a QB who has enough talent to elevate the team around him. Today's game revolves around passing the ball and putting up a lot of points. Your team needs to be making big pass plays down field and ending up on the highlight reel. Otherwise your team is one of the bottom feeders, or part of that muddle in the middle praying to squeak into the playoffs and get slaughtered.

We don't have to settle for Teddy and one 8-8 season after another. There are highly talented QBs coming out of each draft, and other teams are loading up. There is no reason why we can't take a shot at drafting a potential superstar QB. It's totally worth the risk when you consider the reward. If we land a great QB, then we're almost always in the hunt to make the playoffs and win the SB. Even if the roster is shaky a great QB makes that team at least decent.

If we draft a QB and he doesn't pan out, then I'm fine with the misfire. Maybe the GM is fired for blowing the pick, but I'm in favor of taking the risk. High risk, high reward is how we should be thinking. Our team is poop. Do something.

Eh I’m not a Teddy guy and this isn’t a big deal. We’ve seen QBs do this before if they feel like they have the defense on their heels. If you do do poo like this tho you have to be able to back it up. That’s the real issue.

I actually think it should be, specifically because they told him not to and he's not a good enough or established enough player to get away with that kind of thing.

But it's clearly not going to be a big deal to Matt Rhule, so...moot.

Start PJ already

I wanted that at one point but now I want Teddy to finish the season. I want the dipsh*ts that brought him here to have to watch every last awful weak armed check down pass he makes. Also I dont want PJ to screw up our losing streak.

Teddy will look better this week if Mccafrey is back as he can turn a coal into a diamond on occasion

If the Packers aren’t overlooking the Panthers it will be a monstrous beat down on nationwide tv.....

CMC ain’t playing. We will get behind early and he’ll be able to stat pad passing yards.

This is terribly concerning. Teddy just showcased to the whole team that he could give two sh!ts what the coaches say. It makes one wonder what has been going on all season concerning his play. Have the coaches been trying to get him to push the ball down the field, but he does what he thinks is best? I think the answer is apparent given PJ’s start.

If the Panthers do draft a QB, I’m not sure I want Teddy “mentoring” him.

I mentioned it several times already, but it has been obvious looking from the outside-in, Teddy was given full autonomy to do what he wanted and because of the social/PR capital and the money invested in him, he was not held accountable for any of his mistakes.  That huge buffer area of excuses and leeway he was given is 90% of why we've seen all the inexcusable crap he's pulled at the end of games.  If you know you aren't going to be held accountable for the dumbass poo you do every week, why would you try to fix it?

Did you watch Rhule's Monday presser?  He was not very happy about this.  From the way he has refused to discuss other player issues...my guess is that he was really pissed.
