Sounds Like Matt Rhule is Frustrated with Teddy

Could this game showed that Teddy isn’t our franchise QB I think so he played donkey sh** and second he isn’t a solid QB as everyone thought he is... He doesn’t even go through his progression just check down every time and then thinks he Cam Newton Jr trying to scramble ... Justin Fields is the pick boys

Because it's too far for him to throw.  He wants to pad the after the catch stats of Samuel.

He's terrible.  The one deep throw he tried missed by at least two counties.

He has no fire in his soul when it comes time to earn his 21 mil per year.

The media still kisses his ass and I truly believe the Panthers are one of those teams the Media wants to see at the bottom of the standings every year.

Good ol' Jake. I'd replace this dude with Jake in a hot second. Much better QB, and yes, moxy had a lot to do with it. Nothing about Jake was elite but he had championship sized balls +Smitty.

I remember the one game against Atlanta (I think)  Where he got a cheap shot and got up hot enough to Fug.  He went off after that.

Of course Smitty loved Jake.  Jake should get half of his Jacket because Jake would throw into double and triple coverage and Mighty Mouse would come out with the ball.  His highlight reels are living proof.

I wish we had a healthy Jake right now.  Before he blew out his arm.  He was the man.   I loved his intensity.

Teddy has gotten the ball for a final drive trailing by less than a touchdown in seven games this year. The Panthers have won zero.

True, but a defensive stop once in a while would have been nice, too. We had multiple games where the opponents never punted or only punted once for the entire game. I guess that a TD or FG is technically a defensive stop...

Replay showed that play from Bridgewater's point of view. The downfield guys looked like they were covered.

This isn't the sole instance of something like that happening though.

but in the NFL you have to throw to guys who are covered often.    How many great plays are made every week where their is good coverage on a WR.

Yea what an awful take by Darin Gantt. Delhomme had a level of moxie that Bridgewater could only dream of having. Dude was clutch. Plus he had a decent deep ball. I know Smith made him look way better than he actually was, but saying Bridgewater could be “Delhomme plus” after what we’ve seen this season is just indefensible at this point. Bridgewater is not even a decent QB. He’s a top notch backup making way too much money and playing way too many games.

I know that's a popular narrative but oddly enough, Jake had his best year the season Smitty broke his leg.

He'll just take the sack if there aren't any 2 yard options

And 2 of those sacks took them out of field goal range yesterday. And he took a sack on first down of the last possession for a loss of 6 yds, putting the Panthers in a 2nd and 16, leading up to the 4th and 8.

Jake Delhomme replaced a Rodney Peete who, at the time, looked very much like Teddy B. has this season.

Don't forget the delay of game on 3rd down inside the 5. You KNOW he was trying to check to a run.

Moose went Super Saiyan and basically filled that same role but yeah, Smitty was hurt and the team was down to Nick Goings (who performed admirably and is one of my favorite all-time Panthers) in the backfield.

If we're going to have an 'average' QB I would like average with at least a potential for that kind of improbable magic.

Why is everyone so upset?  Damn I thought this was a throw away season so you can get your franchise QB's  I thought this season was to get Lawrence or Fields.  We needed the number 1 or 2 pick to get either one.  Why should Teddy throw to the WIDE open receivers yesterday on 4th down if we need to lose to get those QB's?  He is getting paid to do what he was hired for.  LOSE!  Neither one will be available at #6.  Both will be gone unless we are playing this season and next to get the QB we might want next year.

Yep. Teddy and Jake are polar opposites. They're both pretty average but Jake was at his best in the biggest moments while Teddy is at his worst and their teammates knew/know it. Jake's teammates knew he'd give them a chance to pull it off and that inspired them. Teddy's teammates know he won't and they await the imminent failure with dread. That's the key difference.
