Look how long Ron Rivera and John Fox were in charge.

Two absolute middle of the road Head Coaches, bumbling along to .500 records every seasons.

The fans didn't turn the pressure up on the franchise at all. Just continued to buy their season tickets (then sell them to visiting fans every week for a profit).

I want to win the games we're capable of winning - Denver are terrible. We threw away the Vikings game. If we lose this one I'm going to start questioning the Rhule hire as that would start to form a pattern.

So... the tickets would've sold anyway?

As long as the NFL remains wildly popular, owners making money isn't going to be a challenge. The tickets are gonna sell whether it's to hardcore fans, opposing fans, or folks just wanting to see an NFL game and can't even tell you who's playing.

As I said - accustomed to losing.

As much as we need an L for draft position, I still want us to win because fug Denver ever since the SB.

If you truly want to fug Denver, you let them win, just like the saints did to us last year and just like the saints will probably do to us this year. That’s smart. And they’re headed to the playoffs. Again.

enough of the moral victories, we’ve seen those results. let’s take a smart/strategic one for a change

When was our last moral victory?

Also how did the Saints fug us over last year? We drafted three cornerstone pieces of our defence in the first two rounds.

Our last moral victory? Well that’s easy. Beating the Lions 3 weeks ago.

Actually it was 2018 when the Saints played all their third stringers and we lead a nice moral victory after a 6 game losing streak that felt really good until April when we looked really dumb. It was a great drop in the draft victory.

The Super Bowl is not the game that bothers me---we were horribly outcoached.  The first game of the 2016 season, when they took shots to Cam's head relentlessly and the refs did not stop it--that is the team I hate.

Didnt we drop about 5-6 spots?  RR was going for the throat that game, I tell ya.   Take THAT, Saints practice squad players!

It was so painful watching that. Our division rival who had already locked up homefield advantage and a playoff bye week straight up threw a game against us because there was nothing for them to gain and it would hurt our draft position and we were too stupid to realize what was happening and as Payton and company laughed at us we strutted around like peacocks thinking we had actually accomplished something. Just embarrassing.
